More is about to die than that vet build, kindred.
Well yeah but I’m still embedded in the lasman fantasy most of all.
I’ll be happy as a veteran to give the ranged skitari even more ammo regeneration
Minor addition.
Another rock on the pile of ‘this FOMO store sucks ass’.
Maybe if we pile it high enough it’ll cast Fatshark HQ into perpetual shadow and they’ll actually do something about it.

Hi, how is everyone doing?
Having fun with Skitarii as a class and as a concept. Still leveling it as I don’t have the time to nolife it. Nothing worth complaining about beyond the usual launch bugs and the like so far.
The shielded enemies are, judging from what everyone else is saying, kinda a ‘f-ck the players’ addition. If they removed the damage resistance to headshots that isn’t communicated well and reduced the raw HP they’d probably be better but if the goal is to have an elite level HP pool scattered into the hordes without procing all those elite kill abilities I can see why they’re this tough.
Meanwhile the usual bevy of pre-summer-vacation bugs has appeared.
Slight update:
Laughing at the Advanced Combat Doctrine bug but not sure if it’s a problem with a class or deserves an entry as part of Fatshark’s f-ckass netcode.
I’ve been gone for an age, came back and saw relics are STILL in an abyssmal state… How they’ve been so bad since release I really cannot fathom.
I dusted off the Armoury Exchange extension so I can keep an eye on curios when I have access to my computer.
I’m a bit late to this party but I feel there should be a section about general performance issues under jank or another section.
This game runs like an absolute dumpster fire - it runs worse than anything I’ve played recently by far, on AMD at least. I do see comments from NVIDIA users as well, but the lack of support/performance issues/lack of communication on AMD is just mindblowing.
There are dozens of threads regarding low FPS and stuttering on AMD cards in the performance section and if you have a look at steam reviews performance is very frequently cited.
A few for flavour - this is just casually scrolling the first page. There is a thread saying it’s a known issue, and and that thread hasn’t had an update since the 3rd of April, not even a “no news to share at this time”, and that update on the 3rd was “no news to report”. The thread itself is from April 2025, and issues predate it. the FSR fix that came along a few patches ago improved things, but it’s still pretty dire. It’s also disappeared from “known issues” when hot fixes are released.
Part of what gets me is that people in the community are digging through the files and making improvements to the .ini files that result in dramatic improvements, even if they don’t fully solve the problem. I’m scared to imagine the number of hours Vizra and co have sunk into testing.
So we can say with some certainty there are gains to be had from simple tweaking - but these changes aren’t integrated into the game? Every patch they must be reapplied. For AMD users at least, these changes seem universally positive (and even some Nvidia people see gains), so I don’t understand why they’re not adopted? If we’re considered an edge case, the launcher automatically detects CPU Core count, so why not AMD card detection and an alternative config? Why is it that the best result is being delivered by fans on a forum and not a team with access to development tools?
I have a very modern and powerful system that delivers superb performance in everything else I’ve thrown at it - it’s only Darktide where I have to lower settings to get a playable (not great) framerate.
Aside from general performance issues, there are issues like longer loading times which still seems to be an issue. I regularly load slower than my friend on a weaker system. This was acknowledged in 2023.
I hesitate to include these as well, given they were acknowledged and fixed, but it also seems like half the time when updates are released they break or worsen performance. Is this stuff not tested? I’d normally be fairly forgiving of updates breaking stuff but when taken in context with the other issues I just get the impression that testing for AMD is an afterthought.
In general - really not happy with the state of the game and the approach FS seems to be taking. I’ve seen some comments that it’s an AMD driver issue, and that may be true, but at the same time the .ini changes really make me suspect that’s not the whole story. There are definitely things that could be done. Given the consoles of this generation are on AMD hardware, I’m terrified to imagine what their performance is like.
It made me so unreasonably happy to see this in The Book of Grudges thread. Let them know of Fatshark’s failures.
Thank you for collating this. I admit I haven’t kept an eye on the known issues with AMD cards, and wasn’t aware it was so severe.
The texture streaming/lod issues are just outrageous at this point.
No problem at all, thanks for including it! We can hope against hope it might get some attention ![]()
It’s genuinely making the game unplayable for us, I went from a R5 4650G and RX580 to a R7 5800X and RX6600XT and noticed, without hyperbole, zero performance gain. The only thing that changed was that the Low FPS count stabilized, that was it.
I have to go out of my way when recommending the game to put a massive asterisk to only consider playing it IF and only if they have an Nvidia GPU.
My number 1 grudge has been for a long time, that in the year of our lord 2026, the game still has no HDR support. For crying out loud it doesn’t even have good brightness settings. The brightness setting is simply gamma, no actual brightness, no contrast setting, low budget indie games do better. It doesn’t help that the default contrast is really bad. Bright things are blinding and clip, darks are too dark. I have an OLED so it’s the best possible scenario and it’s still bad.
And to comment on the current aquila shop, I straight up don’t understand what their idea behind it is. It’s straight up self sabotage. There are skins I would likely buy, but I’ve never seen them during any period where I’m playing the game, and so I don’t buy any aquila’s. Neither of us gets what we want with this design. I’m not going to buy a bunch of skins I don’t want just because I may not see them again for a while. I can’t imagine this game has so many nutcases who will buy them specifically because of that, that it makes it worth it but hey maybe I’m wrong. Developers wonder why their fans are so critical and cynical, meanwhile they alienate most of their fans just to prey on the most impulsive few so they can make just a tiny bit more. It’s dare I say “sad!”
