FOMO Store

I dont understand this undying love for FOMO from devs. I already know what I would like to buy, but its not available, because its not in rotation. Its like you dont want my money. Who knows if Im even playing the game when it comes back in rotation. Surely, everyday something is not listed is potentially a missed sale. I cant fathom that FOMO is more profitable than a catalog with everything available. You can still FOMO by running rotational sales/discounts.. Other than that, pretty fun …

Is fatshark yanking us around on the same song and dance with Havoc like they did with crafting worthy of its own new grudge. This feels exactly like the same annoying half measures. At this rate I’m not going to be surprised if it continues again for another year and they finally put out a “Havoc Rework!”

The book of grudges, the threads asking for Solo Mode (mine included, it’s been two years, Fatshark, where is it?), the requests for at least SOME kind of answer beyond a vague statement or kicking a can down the road… Is Fatshark even listening to us anymore? I had a bout of nostalgia the other day, wanted to play Vermintide 2 again, booted up the update, had a tonne of fun with playing solo mode (with BOTS too!) And generally walked away from it feeling pretty satisfied. Then I looked back …

Not that I disagree, but that’s because nobody would be buying the obviously inferior recolor if it’s right next to the original coloring and just ignore its existence instead. Obviously not what they want (because then nobody will buy the cope recolors)

Flawed content release loop

I’m genuinely interested in what the strategy here is. “Events” consist of releasing a silly charm or insignia that you will never pay attention to, instead of a meaningful cosmetic. That is supposed to then bring back players to play a few rounds of the game to then see the pop up about actual cosmetics (premium) in the hopes that we spend money. I don’t approve of the scummy mobile game tactics, but I get it. That’s what a business does. What I don’t get is if player retention to buy cosmetic…

NGL I love seeing ‘this is the first time X has posted’ on top of common complaints. It tells you that not only is this sustained, but that someone hated this particular thing enough to make a forum-specific account just for it.

Havoc deranking

Havoc deranking IS DUMB. im a 2000 hour player. I was at lvl 36. im now at 17 havoc. because im constantly in games with people who die to basic waves. just a stupid thing to punish players when they have to rely on others knowing the game…
