I already know what I would like to buy, but its not available, because its not in rotation.

Surely, everyday something is not listed is potentially a missed sale. I cant fathom that FOMO is more profitable than a catalog with everything available. You can still FOMO by running rotational sales/discounts..

Instead they want the money from the people on which these predatory practices work.
They know they can milk those whales for a lot more than the common player and that is why itâs being done.

I threw some money at it just as a thank you for 2 years of entertainment I squeezed out from Darktide. I really donât care much about paid cosmetics. I think that was in July in 2024. I still havenât managed to fully spend all that currency, at least partially thanks to how the âshopâ operates.

if yes, you probably wouldnât have bought that if you couldâve bought what you REALLY wanted instead, and you might double up and buy the thing you really wanted later
if no, you might buy the thing you really want later anyways. if it bothers you enough to beg them to let you buy it, you will probably monitor the rotation and buy it.

I can only hope action will be taken, also against Fatsharkâs âpracticesâ. I personally heavily dislike these psy-101 tricks abused by companies to make money. All for DLCs coming back, and in-game shops which donât use predatory methods to make money of often vulnerable individuals.
