Since my post last week, decided to look at the same data around the same time. Im not gonna do the comparaison again vs VT1 and VT2, that is in the original post below.
Since the beginning of the month, darktide sits at 43% positive.
When FromSoftware discovered how addicting their “souls formula” was to the average player, they took hold of the opportunity and perfected it. To the point that they literally created a new genre… soulslike. After which they continued to COPY & PASTE the same souls formula into new IP’s with exciting new worlds and mechanics to explore. Only ever iterating on quality ideas.
In my honest opinion… Fatshark discovered their own souls formula in the form of the “tide games.” I’ve never been a fan of any Warhammer game until Vermintide 1 released. And now I’m as much addicted to Darktide as I am to Dark Souls… Fatshark is literally sitting on top of a genre defining gold mine, and it’s painfully clear that they’re unaware of it.
Long story short… Fatshark needs to give Darktide the same level of love and attention to detail that FromSoftware gives to its souls games. Only then will “tide games” go from being a niche genre at the bottom of someone’s steam wishlist to the No. 1 best selling AAA game at your local Walmart.
If you are unsatisfied, go put in a negative review. If they later fix it, change it to positive. In the meanwhile, nothing wrong with increasing the heat.
better idea. another nev needs to make a better tidelike and fs can go under. then the artist can get scalped over to the new production team that hopefully isnt run by the ccp.
Wasn’t it sitting at around 58% at launch? This is pretty brutal, but it’s even worse because it’s warranted. I’ll probably give it a negative review sometime in the future as well.
well said, I guess the only way for “tide game” to be a thing is to convert all fatshark ppl into Japanese and move the entire studio to Japan. Then they will truly know how to properly work lol
The numbers should actually be worse than that. Read the positive reviews, most of them are saying “wait until you buy” in some form or another with a long-ass list of negatives.
