I’m still confident it will appear at some point. The Traitor’s Curse update was a guess on my part, but I see the backlog of unreleased cosmetics. Lots of variations obviously meant for the Commissary.
People seem to use them as a scapegoat, but I really don’t think they’re behind it. I’ve not seen any indication they micro-manage monetization systems and make developers do this sort of thing. From what I’ve seen, games like League of Legends and Warframe and PoE are considered not too bad with their monetization even after being owned by them.
And they definitely wouldn’t be responsible for the other bad things that have happened beyond monetization.

If they’re “obviously meant for the commissary” then that just seems like part of the problem. There shouldn’t be some big gulf between what the paid skins look like, and the earnable ones and/or it shouldn’t be filled with reskins.

I 100% agree with you. I don’t mind supporting darktide but if i feel scammed i am out. We used to get 2400 skin packs with 3 clothes and 2 weapon skins until we get this back or they lower the prices i won’t buy anything. This set should have been 1200 aq max. The only new Item is the helmet which is also 50% recycled. If you buy a skin you should be able to buy recoulours for it in the non premium store.

Both should be at the same level of quality and effort, not just passing off the noticably lesser ones to the earnable side because they’re considered not as valuable, the message behind that is just terrible. The cosmetic system is a feature of the game, only giving the worse cosmetics to that feature comes across as scummy. There shouldn’t be a disparity between the two and that there is suggests a level of contempt or lack of care.
Especially when the earnable side was both outnumbered and outdone by the MTX cosmetics from the very moment of launch, and over a year later almost nothing has been given to the actual earnable side.

People are probable Buying this instead of Forgeworld models, Hell let alone GW models if your skins are Reasonable Priced people will buy them if their not people go to the Fabricator of the Stuff and get the Models. ontop of forgetting that most people who lplay DT arn’t collecting models due to A. expensive, B. lack of Time. C. Storage, D. Lack of Interest. One can like the World and your Game and not like the OG item. Give us Reasonable Price.
the “new” cosmetic isn’t remotely worth the money and the mod that allows skin customisation really highlights how lazy some of these recolours are for such a massive markup. i would have probably bought several skins if they were actually priced appropriately and shared between classes where possible (obv ogryn stuff doesn’t make sense but I’d love to have my vet’s pants on zealot etc)

Some people act as if the game is making quite literally no money outside the MTX, it’s just absurd. So many times I’ve seen people go “They need them to support development!” as if it’s a F2P game where it’s the only source of income. It’s a paid game, game sales are enough to support development for quite a long time.
Neither does MTX “funding development” make sense, because they aren’t going to be increasing resources put into making more maps and such because the MTX are doing well. They aren’t going to be changing their plans and go “We made X amount from cosmetics, so we’ll invest that in making the next update even better!”, they’re just going to make more MTX
