It’s the age-old software developer schedule of “SOON™”.
Yea looks like an axe is an axe and mastery progression applies to all variants of that weapon type.
So say for Plasma does that mean a significant “head start” below. I should buy some grey plasma and pull some T1 and T2 blessings now, means more mastery once update drops, that’s a good question too.

Looks like there are key things we can do to prepare (Should you choose to):
- Stop crafting. The locks and bricking element is going to be removed.
- Even if you got better T4 blessings, extract any down to T1 even as that will converted to mastery.
- Weapon drops with blessings where you already have all tiers. That’s VT2 salvage style as Plasteel ready. You’ll need for expertise. Hoard up anything blue/orange for later.
- Melk. Really a blessing shop. Buy weapons to pull all tier T1 to T4 blessings.
Ultimately to “minimise” the weapon mastery grind.
If this crafting rework addresses the major pain points that people have had since freakin’ “Beta” then I can finally retire this account that I never intended to get invested into and will politely request for it to be permanently banned as well. Otherwise, the ball is in Fatshark’s court. Let’s see what they do. Still sucks that it took two (2) years to even get here despite all the negative feedback prior to release.
Yeah, if the crafting rework turns out to be “okay” (it’s not ideal, but does look dramatically less frustrating), I think the impetus here will die down.
Deffo agree that it’s ridiculous that it took this long, and I’m still not sure why they’re insisting on retaining the RNG acquisition component. It’s also probably more complex than it really needs to be. Most importantly, I cannot fathom how pickaxes and green bombers got so heavily prioritized over the single largest bleeding wound issue the game has faced across every review and feedback platform since launch.
What happened? Whats rhe list for?
List of people unhappy with crafting and item progression from varying degrees.
Ranges from “I’m really annoyed and want this changed” to “I stopped playing entirely because this is such a pain and it makes the game not worth engaging with”
That’s not what they’re not advertising ATM either. There’s nothing indicating how long it’s going to be to grind these things out. It could be a reasonable amount of time per weapon, or it could be 100 hours per weapon.
@brosgw You have officially reached Jimmy Space levels of influence!
Aw, Throne, now he’s going to be simply intolerable at the Legends dinner table…
That actually adds some interesting context now that fatsharks crafting post is out.
(presuming the interview is still relevant)
Especially the estimate it would be 5-8 hours to finish a mastery for a weapon family.
Not to worry, I promise to be like Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus and relinquish my position as soon as it has fulfilled it’s purpose. I shall go back to “cultivating my own garden”.
TBH, I think you should keep it alive, just because FS may need a reminder of the community’s passion and needs.
NGL I want that as a SoB model now…
Yeah, but since I’m definitely a plebian does this mean we might have to argue more?
I’m still saddened that we didn’t get the photoshop of us on the Signing of the Declaration picture, so don’t go teasing us with these as well!
that’s pretty much all of my builds already, but just different variations
The most reasonable amount of time would be 1-2hrs per weapon if played at a high level. Essentially a casual night of playing.
I can see it taking a bit longer, since the impression that I get is that it’s also leveling up all different marks of the same weapon class but not much longer since there’s just so many different weapon groups.
