Well, it’s better than groaner/poxwalker damage.
Right?

Atleast depending on the boltguin you wanna make thats a decent blessing and perk, cavalcade approach has its uses
I never said you didn’t. My point was that if you charge a situation with emotions, you’re setting yourself up for failure; by not getting what you may want, or it not being how you envisioned something to be.
You do you.
You should ask @Badwin about what he expects out of the crafting update…
Speaking of, with a potential release date of the 25th have your expectations changed Badwin? Or do you still think it will be on par with the class rework?
I don’t know what it will consist of, but I am very excited, doubly so because it’s (likely) coming months sooner than I thought it would. I feel confident guessing that it’s been worked on for many months, definitely since 2023. And I think it’s going to be a significant diversion from what we have now.
What I would want is a deterministic system where time in equals progress out. Grinding out incremental improvements sounds great to me.
Oh and my expectations are the same and I do expect a major rework, like classes and penances.
This is exactly what I would want as well. Bonus points if you can get some cosmetic options for weapons you fully upgraded or whatever.
However I still want to know what your expectations are? Not what it will contain, because I don’t feel confident in guessing that in the slightest either, but the scope of the changes.
In the past you said you think it will be a change on par with the class systems and I was wondering if you still believed that.
Yea sorry I added a bit on that after posting my original response. I do think it’s going to be a complete overhaul, as significant as moving from the old talents system to the real trees we have now.
My B I didn’t see that, ty for the clarification.
Let’s not be too hasty… maybe the Dark Mechanicus has the know-how to create a better Crafting System?
Something something, forgotten, partially functioning STC in the hive depths again.
Necromunda called, they said they’d like their over used constantly rehashed plot thread back?
I think, on a world building level, there is no reason why there aren’t parts of STCs or partially working ones on almost every inhabited planet. Between every single colony established during the Dark Age having one, almost every settled planet still almost certainly using the initial infrastructure that was designed and/or built by one and the offline backups floating everywhere, there are still a lot of STCs out there. Granted, pristine ones would be even rarer due to breakdowns, the expertise to maintain them being lost, being cannibalised for parts, blown up by petty space marine crusaders, and simply the passage of time.
The Necromunda one is special because it is still kinda working as a STC, corrupted AI and all.
For all we know one of the manufactorums we prance about in is one, it’s just that no one remembers or knows how to get it working as a STC rather than just having it stamp out metal sheets.
Especially with how big Tertium is and it has aton of manufacturing it’s certainly possible.
I was just making a joke. And also how that always seems to be a 40k maguffun
Yeah, I like STCs because they’re a pretty sensible maguffin in this hilariously over-the-top setting, and the way they’ve been described over the years means they can fit in a lot of situations without being too out of place, kinda like forgotten, buried Eldar webway gates and Necron tombs.
Speaking of which. Any of ya seen that awesome sequel to Mechanicus:
It looks so hype! The first one was superb.
Bored…anyone play any interesting games lately. I’ve been doom scrolling Steam.
That gets so much worse with the recent Unreal Engine guidelines update. I think devs just need to ditch Epic and do their own thing.
With all the experience they gathered, they might as well custom edit the engine and just make it their own.
Maybe rename it to “Fatfish Engine” or something. With how many projects they have under their belt, they might as well own that.
I wouldn’t say that’s a sure sign it’s a mobile game. I don’t think Fatshark wants to work on the discontinued Autodesk stingray forever, and it’s very possible that they intend to make a pc/console game with Unreal in the future.
Funny enough it’s their own engine they sold to Autodesk in the first place.
I just finished BG3 solo game. Been focusing on certs for work.
Depends what you’re looking for. Void crew patch 4 looks pretty good. Want to try the new VT2 stuff. Roboquest and Gunfire reborn have updates if you enjoy roguelites.
