I just run with shitty 350+ weps with good enough stats and tier 3 blessings personally. I’ve used almost every weapon on every class extensively but I just can’t be arsed to actually craft good weapons, so I have t3 slaughterer and headtaker on my chainaxes, random sprint efficiency perks and damage vs groaner perks, etc. From talking to other people there’s a LOT of people who do that to the point where I think it would show up in a statistic.
Funny that this one and the one about Helldivers 2 are the most viewed current topics.
I’m happy this one never went without a post in 7 days and got closed automatically as it’s the most important one on the forum in my opinion.
I’m just hoping they really rework the itemization and don’t just add some BS on top of the RNG hell we have right now.
That is simply not true, they referred to their mission statement of moving away from randomisation and repetitive actions.
To be honest, I don’t think they will, as they said on their website, they want to steer away from randomisation and repetitiveness, which has reinforced with their recent announcement the other day.
I think it’s going to be all cool.
That was the initial statement before the game’s release as well, and look what we got. Keep in mind that the original crafting was way more RNG heavy without options like Brunt. FS word is not to be trusted whenever they post about their ‘design intent’ and especially when they claim to be ‘moving away from RNG’.
The only way to find out is waiting for the 25th… if they manage to ship their ‘new itemization approach’ that is.
The words were remove “a lot” of the “unpredictable”.
So implies not removing entirely.
Anyway let’s see what happens later.
I guess Im jus lucky as all heck.
I made this thread almost exactly a year ago. Crazy how time flies.
I took me over 150 hours to get a singular good weapon, not a great weapon nor a perfect weapon, just a good weapon. And it was from Melk, not Hadron’s Casino.

I have zero expectations best case scenario they delegate a fatshark employee to punch me in the gut everytime i roll something i actually want (which would be a major improvement)
Crafting currently is just a series of punches you have to take, so reducing it down to one would be better and significantly less time consuming.
Speaking of I think thats a huge problem with crafting as well. Just the amount of time it takes to run between vendors, roll stuff up, look at what needs deleting, maybe jumping in the psykanium to see if a perk meets a BP or not.
At the very least I hope that is something that is significantly toned down.
Even hub hotkeys or a universal menu would alleviate that, but gotta get people to engage with the mall that is the Mourningstar.
Casino, Mall, you know these are actually good terms for what these structures and systems are.
Crafting Casino, no control in any aspect until the end when you know if something is useless or it can be salvaged. From Slot Machine Purchasing to Dice tables crafting.
And the Mourning Star Mall, a ton of useless space, doors that lead to nowhere, having to run across the entire space to get to anything… I’m moving soon and I really need to get on that Mourningstar Document after that lol
Precisely.
Board game:
Roll dice to determine combat. Complete control over loadout.
Videogame:
Roll dice to determine loadout. Complete control over combat.
Just be sure to remember that you set the expectations too high, not them communicating that they were going to do a thing but didn’t.
Hate to break it to ya chief but they did in fact end up having to ‘clarify’ that no, saying itemization would be part of the update doesn’t mean itemization is part of the update.
They set that expectation, not me. It is their fault for being so vague.
I saw what Hank said. Still holding out hope, because I am delusional.
The only thing I’m expecting is what they said is going to be in it. The weapons and the level.
We have a right to have expectations as high or as low as we want. Considering Fatshark does terrible job with this game, including updating it, tweaking it and delivering new content or promised content, I don’t really think people having high hopes is that surprising. This update is probably last chance for Fatshark to try to revive this game for next year/two or they will burry all hopes that were left. It’s pretty much last breath of this game one way or another.
In 1.5 year they only managed to deliver one big class rework update which was basically delivering to the game what was supposed to be at launch. And I still want to remember you all that shared resources, class rework etc. all was not ready on launch (plus broken promises and edited lies like weapon attachements and moving away from RNG etc.) but FOMO store was 100% ready and working at launch with blatant lie later how they “forgot” to include X amount premium currency option and that too many tabs in store would be too hard for players to follow. And cosmetic items quality is still dog s**t with tons of clipping, reused recolor textures and lazy putting together “new” sets from existing pieces.
I think you overestimate our level of expectations.
Basically if they will manage to do anything right it will exceed our expectation as Fatshark is only known from butchered launches of their games, then underdelivering with content and updates for year-two, igoring feedback, delivering one really good and one really bad content update and then moving to life support mode while working on new game. Repeat.
HOW DO YOU PUT RELOAD 2 ON THIS.
i hope we get tech priest enemies in the next update i have some aggression to take out
As well as the expectation they themselves set by saying there would be less RNG. That they took the lessons from VT2 and have decided to find ways to have less randomness in their design.
And they pulled a “psyk” and decided to add more randomness into it.
Randomness inside a mission? Absolutely. Randomness OUTSIDE of the mission? No. None of that.
