The Book of Grudges: Because Fatshark Won't Listen

I’m more of a cat person myself, but I literally couldn’t care less about the pets of people who never bother to communicate anything with us.

You can’t make this kark up. It is straight up tragicomic.

Fatshark are pushing boundaries every year.
Boundaries of how to not do communication with your playerbase.

I am speechless.

I am genuinely starting to think that the people approving these are kept deliberately isolated from all feedback.

Exactly this.

They published this joke of a news to Steam and we find the same polarity of comments:

  • “Hihi kawaii doggies”
  • “Is this a joke? Where the F is the game content?”

Interestingly enough, I find this trivial FS post to be a great metaphore of our current society divide:

Dellusional disconnected train-watching passives versus disgruntled pragmatic jaded people.

The Bungie model of “please keep the feedback coming, its definitely not being thrown in to the void” kind of trust me bro™

Feedback being sent on doesn’t matter if management and designers are too stubborn to listen to it, and this game’s development history is one of exactly that.

Hey can you guys tell us anything about the game you’re actively supposed to be supporting.

it’s like being tone deaf is a mission statement for this studio.

Genuine question but how many community managers has this company had over the years?

Hedge, Aqshy, Catfish, Septecemia, Strawhat, Kitefin, Quickpaw.

I think that’s everyone. I know the job is basically intern-level but that still seems like a lot.

I started trying to list them and it started looking like that one x men cover

Ragnarok’s lowkey making me want to get into Warhammer fantasy for the sole purpose of becoming a grudgemaster of my own.

Back on topic: I shouldn’t be surprised by the new low of communication, given how FS apparently goes through more CMs than Henry the 8th goes through spouses.

I mean, the game didn’t really have good communication when they still had a CM around. Out of all the CMs they had the only ones that actually shared information with us were Catfish and Strawhat, all the others were either completely silent or torpedoed whatever goodwill remained in the community every time they posted something

I will note that it took Strawhat about six months to a year to ‘get good’ at comms. Once she did community moods vastly improved and the back half of 2024 and first half of 2025 was generally positive barring a couple sour notes (solo mode, cosmetics complaints).

She even responded to the sour notes in an appropriate way for a community manager, though.

Darktide doesn’t have underperforming weapons it has overperforming players

It has both.

@Khorne_Dawg through many trials and tribulations (read: being on the Discord) brought me something interesting.

This sorta confirms that Fatshark is enforcing radio silence. For… whatever weird reason.

Let my boy Hank speak, Fatshark!!! :fist::pensive_face:

I understand the need for confidentiality, but it’s ridiculous that even five days before the update, no one can say anything. Even if information were leaked at this point, who on earth would actually be harmed?

@Mister_E also complained about the same thing and said the rest of the year is “going to be really busy” – he’s on the (resurrected) creator programme so he is bursting to talk about the stuff he has been shown.

Feels less like secrecy and more like they just had no hype plan in place whatsoever. (I don’t assume malice if dumb is an option).
