Late because I was away for a bit, 3rd event since skulls without aquilas, yadda yadda yadda.
The Grudge for throughput may need an update, because this past month or two has seriously been the new low (surprisingly) for it. We’ve had:
- A paid class that straight up partially didn’t work for at least a full month and change (my perception of time is foggy)
- Multiple confirmed and recorded CTD bugs after the frostfix that made the cops work again (and finally addressed the “buffs not appearing” issue that had been in the game for several months)
- Complete radio silence other than “yeah we have a fix ready :)” from the local riot control for literally a week when FS is supposedly “off vacation”
- Fixes for crashes that can very easily happen on accident (and FREQUENTLY) come out exactly one week later instead of ASAP
- Vermintide 2 gets a brand spankin’ new, stylish, and FUN event with actual secrets that a group of pubbies and I spent 2 hours getting nowhere on
- Meanwhile some clown at FS HQ reads all the complaints about how knockback is absurd and unfun and decides to code an event that triples the knockback you receive and also adds more sources of knockback everywhere for a time-limited Darktide event
Seriously. What? This barely feels like incompetence anymore and more like active malice.
(p.s. totally coining “frostfix” for “bugfix patch that should have come out way earlier than it actually did”)
I like how Vermintide 2 keeps getting random patches that address many issues with bots while Darktide still has them sucking down medicae charges.
VT2 clearly has actual developers. I think Darktide just gets Bobby the intern.
TF2’s potted plant has a brother
I can’t tell if Fatshark is just internally an Office Space kind of situation where any given employee is so unmotivated they probably do about fifteen minutes of actual work, or if they’re just secretly siphoning all the dev time for their next game.
Also, hi character limit. Glad to see the stupendous mass of Grudges is growing to rip a hole thru Fatshark’s digital infrastructure.
Again??? I thought we just raised it?

Arbites.

Gotta communicate frostfix in a way fatshark’s social media team can understand

Yet players still want to give them money for skins instead of actual content.
It was supposed to be money for skins for actual content. That’s the Faustian bargain new gamers have made, to the chagrin of old timers. Now they’re learning it was a monkey paw all along.
Moved comms to second-most-annoying issue after cosmetics. Also added a new thread.
strawhat lost her life getting us emojis instead of silence ![]()
Honestly, I’d like to see a rework in the Commodore’s Vestures. ![]()
Everyone would, Fatshark refuses to discuss anything related to their funny money though.
Adding these to the Comms section.
Adding to comms:
Apparently this is something they consider meaningful communication after months of silence and repeated requests to know what is happening with game development.
It’s cute, but it’s not acceptable as the first thing you drop when people are desperate to know what you’re actually developing.
I just got a new dog myself. I understand the joy and cute overload.
I’m not sending pics of her as a reply to customers waiting on my task completions for work.
