Ah, then you didn’t have the sound issue. Good to note, but the sound issue is real.
Honestly everything is super quiet in this game.
In other news had a poxburster spawn in front of my teammate. It didn’t come from anywhere as there was no characteristic beeping. Just appeared then went straight into its jump. Incredibly annoying. Happened on Enclavium Baross on the stairs across from the Astartes shrine.
I had one instance where an enemy spans behind me and gets stuck 50/50 in the wall.
Oh yeah, I’ve noticed it, luckily I haven’t had much issues myself when it comes to sound, sometimes I notice in non crucial moments that sounds disappear.
had multiple times when a whole traitor guard patrol and even a fullblown horde popped out of thin air in plain sight and the worst example I’ve experienced was when a deamonhost spawned a meter behind me in the disruption map, there was no sound no fog and no voicelines in a straight well lit tunnel without other entrances, balconies or paths, I cross it and deamonhost appears behind me and ganks me
I wonder if this fits the lore, unlike crafting.
This is one of my biggest complaints in the game so far. I have even seen them pop into existence from thin air multiple times.
Is Fatshark adressing this?
Hope so. We need to make more noise. I was on an outside map last night, and I jumped from a balcony to the one below it and across the starts…
AND 12 DREGS SPAWNED THERE AS I WAS IN THE AIR. I jumped to an empty landing and landed surrounded.
They opened up on me, and a barrel went off and it got live the experience of the coyote in the road runner cartoons.
Yeah, I’ve put in a bug report that entire patrols to daemonhosts can have a delayed spawn and spawn in sight/on top of you. The larger the area you can see the more delayed the spawn, it seems.
As much as they’ve addressed being able to hit and get hit by enemies trough walls since VT1.
Oh sweet summer child…
Jokes aside: They won’t. We’re still waiting for these types of fixes in VT2
As a long time tide player I reckon you train yourself to have ye old “gotta turn around for half a second to check if something is behind me”-reflex.
No it has not been a thing for years in Vermintide. If you manage to get hit from behind in Vermintide it is either due to ambients or stragglers from a horde that you missed.
Darktide is worse in terms of spawns in every way. It arbitrarily spawns enemies behind you either directly or through doors - which most of the time is functionally the same. The worst offender for me though are special spawns from doors you are standing next to. What are you gonna do against the pox walker that walks out of a door right next to you, while everyone is dealing with ranged ambients of the next open area? Nothing, you just die. I fail to see how Vermintide is in any comparable to that.
Yes, it has been . Many enemies just spawned from thin air just because you were looking in the wrong direction.
This is the FS’s way to increase difficulty, i.e. the wrongest way.
Well I can only speak from my experience playing VT2 and Imho comparing the degree to which this occurs in VT2 to Darktide is sensational at best and completely overblown. Darktide is lightyears worth in this department and it is bot even close. I won’t deny that you can chance upon this in VT2, but it is far from common.
Please
I can tell you that the problem was still present in VT2 . Just try to play the Blightreaper with Beastmen and you’ll see Gors coming out from the cracks of the wall in a corridor during hordes.
Anyway you are certainly right in the fact that in DT this is aggravated by various factors:
Chip damage, stagger, presence of shooters, less responsiveness of the block, etc.
Moreover you can get attacked by specials immediately from behind.
Still having this problem.
i have observed this alot, i tought they were spawning behind instantly but no and yes.
Believe it or not i check my surrounding so often then i see 360 all the time and i came acrosse something very instresting.
Mobs crawl out of the ground, metal floor, metal bar and fall down from unconventional places.
In this video there is a hight change just one go through the allies and we targeting the one recording and end up behind
I can say for sure they dont just instantly spawn.
They also go thought you when surrounded.(witch i find repulsiv in gameplay)
keep a close eyes to your surrounding you will eventualy see them crawling up to you like maul.
Fun thing i ever seen it two time in my entire gameplay and only one mobs ever come like that.
Definitely needs to be looked at and changed. Just did a run yesterday that we cleared a zone, started moving to the next area and then specials and pox walkers and gun squads came out of nowhere from behind us. A single walker or trooper picking their nose in the corner is understandable, but not another rooms full of enemies behind us. Swear the game spawns people behind instead of in front.
