Looks like this weapon requires a lot of practice. I’ll force myself to use it a bit more and see if I can get used to it.
Any tips?
I saw Reggie doing a quick spam stab which seem pretty effective for single target.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of complex attack patterns due to it requiring a lot of mouse inputs which always has a risk of leading to carpaltunnel and finger tendon issues.
That’s why I use the auto charge mod for Helbore for example.
They doesn’t feel swingy though and they’re at weird points in the combo. They are not very useful and there is no doubt that the move set feels weird as heck. The range on hitbox is non existent too. I’ve missed targets when my curser was a hairline away from the enemy.
If they add more marks with less batty combos then I might enjoy it more. Currently it leaves you open to attack in crowded situations (which is all situations in DT).

The only letdown about it is the wet noodle slapping noise outside the special. I thought an always on power sword would sound meatier. Actual weapon is pretty bonkers since it poached the sunder blessing (you don’t know how valuable this is now with all the cleave stop shield dorks around). Gonna have to go with skill issues. We didn’t get a power falchion 7/10 weapon, we got another Mk6 with even less downsides.
Push attack → light → heavy → light → heavy → keep repeating is a combo that is entirely diagonal slashes. Very easy.
Singletarget can start with heavy or light. I personally enjoy light → light → light → heavy → block cancel → repeat. Or just light → light → block cancel → repeat. Or heavy → light → light → heavy (iirc). Lots of options.
Very cool weapon!
Most players will not bother learning this and you know it.
Left click spam bad? NEXT
Not to mention another sword suddenly appearing in the off-hand. At first I thought it was the Skibidi striking with its left claw, but nope, it’s the sword.
Yeah this one I worked out and it’s ok. diagonal definitely limits the reach still but its OK. Having to push for it is a pain though NGL.
The other move sets are getting too complex for me. I have ADHD and absolutely SUCK at fighting games because I can never remember combos. My entire life has been looking down at console controllers too because I can’t even remember which button is which, even after years of playing! Unfortunately my brain just struggles to retain that kind of thing, so I have no hope with niche combos on niche weapons in a very complex game. Thank god for muscle memory on keyboards!
Ogryn combos are about as far as I can stretch with remembering things! I hate my brain ![]()
EDIT: The thing I like least is the charge indicator - in the heat of battle it’s impossible to see your charge rate and I often end up pressing the alt attack button a few time without anything happening becuase I ran out without realising. Quite a pickle when amongst 4 bullwarks lol
This weapon is really fun to use. It’s kind of like the relic blade because both of these require a good understanding of the combos to get the most mileage out of them whereas a lot of the other melee weapons allow you to spam heavies or lights without much thinking
They did it. They have finally made a weapon to match heavy sword.
Indeed, not quite got the hang of it myself yet but @Epic_Cole keeps saying it is worth learning
It looks and sounds amazing, the concept is peak tide, it’s a freaking space gladius after all, but no one will bother with, when they can just get more out of lightspamming the blades, and to an extent, the mace, altho blades are gonna the most popular choice by a country mile.
It does not have the performance to back the complexity of the moveset it has. None of the class exclusive melees do to be exact, without claw, you looking at anywhere between 3-5 business days to kill a crusher.
In a vacuum, having 1000-1500 crusher DPS is fine, if only those numbers wouldn’t have been powercrept years ago, the moment more players realize skittles is nowhere near arbites, the floodgates will open.
A weapon this complex should offer tangible rewards for mastering, which it simply does not.
I personally got the weapon as soon as it unlocked and haven’t unequipped it since (which isn’t much time - I’ve only been playing with it the whole morning). It is very cool, has nice single-target damage, is great against bosses, and its moveset is really fun. Its horde clearing combo is familiar to the Power Falchion Lawbringer (my favourite!).
10/10 weapon so far while leveling the class. I don’t know how good it is in Havoc though - maybe it’s less useful there.
I’ve been running it with Bloodthirsty and Sunder so far, and it feels good.
SPS looks good. Seems like the combos and functions fit the weapon - a “space gladius” - really well.
It’d be even better if it came with a space-shield and a space-formation of other space-swordmen, but I guess that’s a lot to expect from a DLC.
I think it’s a bit rough to work the very small cleave but I’ve found the shove > two horizontal slashes and the repeating combo of horizontal light > horizontal heavy that you can spam both work reasonably well but I’m struggling with the muscle memory to get powered hits into combos.
also finding out that there are power sword psyop trolling threads from other forums is definitely something.
-
It has horde clear patterns. I personally use push attack into powered up light attack.

There’s also horizontal chordclaw for horde clear.
he posted a picture depicting the western community as a pig. “white pig” is a slur in china.
just saying but if i posted here likening a certain race to a certain animal i would be permabanned here instantly and we both know it. for him, it’s just a post deletion, it’s a double standard. he even doubled down and the second open racism post wasn’t even deleted, just community flagged.
Well, I have to admit that even if my brain nerves are mechanically strengthened, I still can’t learn how to use this weapon. Its attack module is a bit too difficult to master.
Range and damage on it is fine, it’s the moveset that feels wrong. Feels like an awkward Devil’s Claw. Would like an alternate mark.
