After reading a number of posts and replies from both eatingsand and DornIvanotic across different threads, I now have a question: is eatingsand actually DornIvanotic’s alt account?
I have to say, eatingsand is certainly a strong advocate of “free speech.” All I can say is that the private profile feature is incredibly useful.
eh, you know i’m not really upset at you. i bet it’s pretty fun coming here to just troll and openly insult us as white pigs and other things, knowing that if any of us called you a racial slur back, we would be permabanned instantly. even if i just have some fun and try to troll you back, other people start defending you and tell me to cut it out. it’s like throwing stones at caged animals at the zoo. they can’t fight back.
that does make me upset, but not at you. it makes me upset that our culture allows foreigners to do this to us. and i guarantee you, the same moderation staff that probably thinks it’s fine you call us “white pigs” and “more disingenuous than the japanese” was looking at me typing out the word ‘foreigner’ just now, and thought that’s quite racist.
I wasn’t being sarcastic or passive-aggressive toward you. You were free to fire back. I didn’t know the forum would hand out bans over this kind of exchange. The things you mentioned are considered politically correct where you’re from; we don’t really operate under those standards.
I mainly use the Fatshark forums to report bugs when I run into them, and occasionally to browse or make a few casual posts. My criticism is directed at people’s understanding of the game, not at their race. That said, race can be used as a way to insult someone.
D-god is quite well known in the Chinese community. The day I first came across him while browsing the forums, I checked out his YouTube channel and watched some of his videos. What I saw matched the “legend” that has been circulating about him in the Chinese community, which is why I mocked him. My criticism was entirely about his gameplay and game knowledge.
Then you stepped in. I didn’t know who you were, and I didn’t particularly like the way you were talking to me. I figured I could use some race-related insults to shut you up, but apparently that’s not acceptable here.
There are two old Chinese sayings: “Respect others and you respect yourself,” and “Address the issue, not the person.”
As far as these discussions go, if you come at me, I’ll come back at you. So if you want to insult me, feel free to do so. And if you’d rather discuss the game, then I’ll happily keep the conversation focused on the game.

i could, at this point, share an old western saying about chinese people. but that would again get me permabanned.
i can’t speak for the other people here but to me it’s painfully obvious that you’re just here to make fun of the western playerbase. at this point i can’t blame you, they let you do it, the idiots.
and just so you know (@alsozara might wanna review this before defending them in the future) here is proof that these topics are chinese bait threads. they wait until someone agrees with the bad faith OP, then they post it on baidou and laugh at the stupid white people.

I mean yeah man, I do want to know that kind of stuff, obviously paints a very different picture about what you’re doing in this thread. Not everyone is gonna have that context, nor will we have followed these individuals enough to know they’re acting in bad faith. If you’d lead with that info I wouldn’t have criticised your posts here.

oh i didnt have that context beforehand either. i picked up on this being an obvious brigading troll attempt from their posts here and just realized i could go to baidou to check and my angle was confirmed.
Nice thing about growing up in a multicultural city or country is you realize how people from all races and ethnicities can be racist PoS.

On the bright side, Fatty Shark has now developed a power Sword with an attack module similar to ds. Maybe the next update will bring a variant that can slash horizontally like the Devil Blade.

Interestingly, there was a previous article about weakening vet AT grenades that was actually deliberately posted by a Tieba user. But who could have imagined that it seemed to have received a good response and was even implemented in the game.
