He should totally buy it now. Assuming he plays all games high he is going to be here in a week time telling us how good the game turned out in the future.
Yeah this was a troll post from the start.
If it is, then it is better than my attempt at baiting with the “No difficulties below Heresy”-Thread XD.
If you like MMO like games and grind fests Darktide is good. Most say it’s easier than VT2 though with dodge sliding.
They should lower ammo economy a bit but I don’t disagree with the design. Having shooting be a lot more of a factor makes the gameplay more dynamic than just optimizing dodge window and attack use with melee. Some melee just needs a boost, like the terrible cleave damage most things have. And even the meta ones are usually carried by blessings. Sort of enjoying the broken psyker power stacking atm just for the free use of melee choice, even if the horribly balanced new force swords blow the slot out of the water.
Isn’t VT2 base difficulty only goes up to Legend? Cata is bound to the WoM expansion is it not? Maybe there is just some kind of misunderstanding.
You’re going to want to upgrade that RAM regardless of what game you’re playing.
8gb just doesn’t cut it anymore, especially with the newer games coming out.
DT is an MMO?
With hourly rotating stores, awful grind/crafting making perfect gear practically unobtainable, MTX on cosmetics with only 3 slots to increase FOMO (hasn’t cycled yet), with map events also cycling creating FOMO, siloed resources, character slots, etc. It’s got a lot of design decisions they seem very intent on keeping MMO DNA even though everyone told them it’s all driving players away.
Also apparently boosters found in data mining.
I’m pretty sure he’s referring to the RAM of the graphics card (video RAM).
the core gameplay is really fun; if that’s mainly what you’re after then it’s worth a shot maybe
If you love 40K, you won’t regret buying Darktide.
Oh I wasn’t complaining about it, I prefer ranged gameplay here. Even if it’s within melee range, lol.
Rieven - then why aren’t you crushing candies instead. You’re acting like the spoiled child that banshee screams to get what they want…doesn’t work in real life.
Fair enough. Now I’m really curious to know how much and what kind of RAM he’s got ![]()
Weird I’ve always seen games like DT as simply online games where as to me MMOs have been of the Everquest/Warcraft genre.
I guess it’s evolved to include a game where you mostly interact with three other people which honestly doesn’t seem that massive ![]()
you can get the cata3 and deathwish mod for vt2 if you have a, well, a deathwish. There is a community of people that play that mode in the modded realm.
Your analogy is incorrect.
lol.
I’m the guy who carries you in pub games kid.
Ive been destroying this game at its highest difficulty for months my kit is top notch and when ive got the 1500 missions portrait ill be quitting having beaten the game at every difficulty with every modifier on every map repeatedly. I’ve even collected all the achievements and portrait frames.
There is nothing to work for nothing new to do except carry ungrateful people like you.

I think they were talking about the general design, not the format of gameplay. The features they list in their message are common in MMOs. It’s really live-service DNA more than MMO DNA, but the message is the same.
