I’ve got a great bike for sale, the front wheel only falls off sometimes. Other than that’s its great! Wanna buy it?
This is really an obsession. Did you see any word about that in the OP post? Seriously.
Guys or you don’t play the game and you have a serious problem at coming here everydays for 3 months, or you play it and then please be honest when you speak about the game…
The crafting has nothing to do with the core of the game. What is the core of the game? This is the pew pew, the explosions, the guns that you use against horde, this is the corpses everywhere, this is the heads cut and the bodies that explode, this is the horde incoming, the is a monstruosity that arrives at the worst moment for your team, this is this player that acted alone and end dead at 30 meters of you and that you can’t save, this is the moment when you manage alone 30 pox walkers, this is this moment where a teammate fall and you jump with your axe on a crusher, kill it and revive the guys that has fallen, this is when you kill a sniper with one shot between 2 boxes by a bullet in the head when all the team could not move etc.
Depends on the price. Bikes are easy to fix!

Should I get this game. Learn to read.
Then I guess you’ll enjoy playing a veteran sharpshooter in this game. If you pick up any lasgun and shoot ammo effeciently you can almost be shooting the whole mission switching only to melee when you have to. But the class has a wide array of different guns to choose from and I find most of them enjoyable and all viable.
And all four classes are fun to play and very viable - so a Veteran never is useless. Psyker is also ranged focused and while the class is mainly thought with staffs in mind you can play a gun psyker quite well. And while the preacher is designed with melee focus, you can equip many guns similar to the Vet and also engage the enemy at range before charging into melee - which is usually the smartest thing to do actually (though many Zealots seem to disagree ) Even an Ogryn can enter the mission with a heavy stubber for the Predator-minigun vibes you always wanted.
So yes - if you want a Vermintide with way more ranged focus this should be fun to you.
I personally enjoy the core gameplay on mission so much, that I keep playing despite the whole gameplay loop outside mission can be frustrating: Crafting is directly from RNG-mobile-gaming-hell. And except for this unfun crafting process there actually no progression in any way post reaching Lvl 30.
There is also a lack of missions in general - we now have 14 and many maps are in huge parts reused for those.
If you’re not the type who is frustrated with that I think you’ll have fun with the game.
It already was on sale once btw - so a 20% discount in near future again is quite likely.
Then, as you seem to read only the title, maybe read the post also…
Answer the question. Should I get this game. No. Not yet maybe not ever…
Ah ok… then now answer mine. Why are you still here if you hate this game?
Firstly I did not say I hate the game I said I do not recommend it again learn to read.
I’m not here to argue with you. I made my point and I was talking to someone else.
Ok… you’re right. Let’s not argue and forgive me. This is just that you did not address one of the points that was in the OP post…
In all your posts, you did not say anything positive about the game. So I really wonder why you’re still here if you think what you’ve written. You say you don’t hate it, then why not also saying what you like in this game?
I prefer opinions like Eisenfaust and Tzcheese did.
Sure, if the OP doesn’t like RNG and care about that, the game is, at this moment, a big no.
But if he searches for a good FPS, with sometimes melee combat (cause this cannot be avoided), and with cooperation between players, then DT is a great game that has no equivalent on the market.
I often use weapons that are objectively really bad. I actually play in damnation with an agri shotgun that is 340 and with bad perks cause I did not find what I wanted for my zealot… and it works
A lot of the things that cause a negative recommendation are things you would only know if you brought and played the game past the point of getting a refund. Everyone starts out positive you see. They want the game to be good and hope that its just teething problems “They will fix it soon, it’ll be fine” type of attitude. How longs the game been out for now?
Once I buy a game I wring my money’s worth out of it like I’m strangling something to death. I’m stubborn determined and tight fisted with my money. A lot of people would have and did in fact give up and move on.
I’m grateful for the fixes as they appear but they are fixing a problem of their own creation. I didn’t cause their problems. Should they get a pat on the head and a gold star for every problem of their own creation they fix? Should they get a glowing recommendation for this release?
That’s up to everyone who spent their hard earned money on it.
Mixed reviews on steam is pretty fair imo. I’ll never pre order a game again though that’s for sure.
I don’t think it is a good fps to be honest. It has an fps element to it sure but imagine CS : GO with hit reg like this. With headshot hit boxes like this lol This is like an fps game for learners.
" I pretty much cleared highest difficulty with only bots within the first week."
Then no, you shouldn’t buy DarkTide because you’ll have done with it in a week also. It’s not that different.
I think to have blazed through even just one character to level 35/legendary (or catatonic) in a single week you’d have had to be playing a huge amount of game time. If you found it that easy to finish legendary, then DT will be the same if not easier.
My experience with both games has been different from yours. I found I had to block and push. Level up weapons. I found Legendary hard on some of the classes and had to learn alternative skills and builds.
Good for you though. Probably just saved yourself $40.
So you cleared Cataclysm difficulty on VT2 with bots only within a week? Apologies if I find that a little hard to imagine.
But giving you the benefit of the doubt, and saying you did, just know that when you get to max level in DT and get some decent items, DT’s max difficulty is a bit easier than in VT2 (ie DT damnation is easier than VT2 cataclysm).
So if you’re after a challenge harder than VT2 at “pretty much” max difficulty you won’t find it in DT. Yes, the game has a stronger balance between ranged and melee combat, but there is nothing exceptionally “hard” about the range combat either.
As it doesn’t influence being in a mission and the core gamplay itself, it is still a big part of the game and tide games in general.
And this big part is so bad that me and alot of other people still can not recommend the game.
Actually everything outside the missions is pretty bad. The game is poorly optimised, the loading times are awful, there is no story, the hub is useless, the RNG is everywhere and you can’t even chose what mission you play.
There is much more to a game than just the core gameplay that makes it recommendable.
I still play the game every now and then and I’d like to be able to recommend it, but as for now I can’t and I won’t.
And none of these elements are quoted by the OP.
But I missed the part of the post where he talk about the difficulty… hopefully Mezmorki and Jonboy have answered to this point.
op’s post feels like satire ngl,
maybe im more cynical than i thought.
I agree that one week to achieve, with bots, the hightest difficulty of VT2 seems… impossible.
But I think it is not well described and there must be an error on this.
But for the other part, I feel the same.
I could not play more VT2 cause it was melee all the time and… tbh… I did not like it. Everything in VT2 doesn’t appeal me.
The place before missions, the missions themselves, the messages like “xxx rolled a dice”, the lock of chars that forbid you to play with who you want, the fact there is confusion between all your chars, the complexity for no real purpose (crafting that I did not like), the weapons themselves…
Well, this is a game I could not play. And I am here playing DT everydays and Steam says I played it 1063.5 hours…
My reply is more towards everyone who is interested in buying the game, as the OP is probably a troll.
Stating to play cata with bots only and then also stating that Vermintide is for melee spamming stoners feels kinda off.
Also news to me that you want to write about OPs topic only as you usually put your opinion in everyones face not matter the topic.
This is clearly impossible, we agree.
But he says he has not spent too much time on VT2. So, I would say he did not describe what happened.
If you ask me, I did not even see that VT2 had difficulty levels… (again, I have hated so much the game that I did not see that cause I have not spent enough time in it).
Sure you did.
