Reviews for this game are not good

That’s subjective, I enjoyed new classes and even B2U quite some ways more than CW.
Didn’t get the update I was craving since launch though - the bugfix one. I’m gonna bite my forehead if they fix the goddamn double action frame on that CW uppercut animation

Yeah I was here for the whole cycle and it really jaded me against Fatshark’s design decisions.

Chaos wastes was great, thought they were going to take some inspiration from it with darktide but apart from the bland map system they didn’t learn from it.

We are at “Mixed” on Steam btw.

Ignore. It’s definitely Ignore.

In fact, almost everything people are throwing a fit about has been a large part of the feedback since VT1, and yet FS appear to completely ignore the vast amount of feedback on VT2 that is geared towards improving the systems - crafting, GRIND, character progression, Loot rolls and cosmetic shop.

So I can only assume they have regular meetings and discuss all of the feedback given here, on Steam and Reddit and then have a little break in their meeting, have a coffee and utterly ignore it all.

With the new behaviours displayed by FS, ~making Cash Shop before Crafting and so on ~ I guess free sh-t is a thing of the past.

It went from something like 79% pre launch to 67% today (5/12) in 5 days. It’s getting slated since launch and will take a long time to recover - if ever. Live Service games need a fairly constant supply of cash and if people think ‘f*ck this’ then there’s no point having cosmetic shop if there’s no one to buy stuff.

5k concurrent players aint gonna keep the servers ticking over.

I don’t get the mentality of sacrificing everything that would make the game great on the altar of short-term cash flow ; thus killing the game faster and reaping less over time than what you would have if you had prioritized making the absolute best game and trusting players to show their appreciation on the long run.

Based on how they’ve communicated to us on these official forums. I believe it. I have no idea why we even have these forums, to be honest.

Gamers killing the game before it has a chance to redeem itself and fix the mistakes would be pretty depressing.

At its core it is one of the best games I’ve ever played, despite the flaws, and does deserve a chance to be fixed imo.

I hope Fatshark can pull it together.

A game that is in EA gets far more forgiveness. Releasing at 32 quid a “finished” game that is far from even finished, but making sure the cash shop is done is always going to garner horrible feedback.

I’ve reached level 30, run through the missions, and… that’s it? Pretty bored tbh. I’m not keep logging in to see just if Ranald has decideed to f*ck me again and given me another low stat autogun in the shop.

The stuff that we should be discussing at launch - Weapon balance, class tweaks, enemy discussion, mission variety is completely swamped by the most basic stuff being downright rubbish or lacklustre.

FS will fix it, it’ll take a year or two… but will anyone be playing by then?

its not the “gamers” destroying the game fatshark did everthing to themself

they pushed an full release out even tho its utterly obvious it isnt ready…

why? speculation would be Christmas is near and the marketing campaign is in full order, i mean i get darktide adds on yt every other video

so no i didnt left a negative review because im a troll that wants to destroy the game i left it because i genuinely think people should abstain from buying it at this moment

If they will add shared items and resources between characters and working craft system that is not worse than one we have in VT2 (weapon craft, reds, same cost for each reroll), the game will worth positive review IMO.

Don’t you dare blame the gamers for not coping with FS’s terrible decisions. If anything kills the game, it’s the Game Hub - shop, maps selection, rng, craft, etc., and that’s on them, not on us.

Fatshark is killing the game, not gamers. I still enjoy it, so I hope it improves. Your move Fatshark.

But what if it’s quick to be fixed?

What is likely permanent damage to the game’s playerbase size due to bad reviews, for those of us who intend to play this game in the future, just doesn’t seem worth it to me.

Less future content, less game longevity, less people to play with, less support. All for flaws. that might only exist for a short amount of time.

I’m holding off on reviewing until the devs at least are given a chance to redeem the game.

I have been thinking the same. Been feeling like playing it again, but decided to wait for darktide.
But the progression is such garbage…

I get items by logging in every hour, but playing I get nothing.

This game has a lot to be fixed, some bugs are taken care of, but the general feeling of poorly implemented features…

Yes, everytime you draw your bolter you pull the bolt/loading chamber, you holster the gun 15 times and you need a new clip.

Stupid grind penances, many requiring to screw over your team. Penances are more toxic than scoreboard can ever be.

And frankly, once reaching lvl 30 game gets boring. Its like leveling is the most entertaining point of it XD Items in shop are meh, crafting is non existent and overly expencive. Itemification is also terrible.

There is no „guide” or „bestiary” that could tell players what a dreg or scag is, health of enemies outside „simulation” that takes a lotnof loading time… and in simulation you cant test all weapons to see preferances, just the ones owned.

Also it should be called W40K random backstabtide.

Shared items - only curios
Shared currencies - YES !!!

Lets not forget that i believe open beta was in better state than release. Over time they fixed it, but still… its Beta. They should change it to EA

Add to that the fact that bugs and more serious crashes and disconnection ruin the (otherwise amazing) gameplay

Unfortunately Hedge has already said they’re not going to have shared resources, and you can forget about actual crafting, just upgrading whatever RNG bs you get from the time-gated lottery store.

It’s truly baffling. He’s just a CM, but obviously, if they had any intention of making a system that wasn’t so mindboggingly stupid, they would have already made that system for launch. Not the abomination of a system we have now, where you get zero rewards for playing.
