Player block limit of 50 is low for people with juicy playtime

Ohh really? I should get back on then…might be my only chance to actually have fun with everyone leaving, and getting to play the game by myself since Solo mode still isn’t a thing XD.

Ahahaha… sad.

At least they don’t try to flirt wit you, right?

BTW, you have boyfriend?

(Joking).

Horrible.

hey, you forgot my one.

If we’re going to have a blocked player limit at all, which we shouldn’t, it’d be much appreciated if we could have some relevant information about the players we’ve blocked, most specifically the last time they were online. That would be really useful the next time we hit the limit and need to find some people to take off the list. I bet I’ve got a bunch of people on my block list who haven’t touched the game in ages, but I have no way of knowing without like trying to look their profiles up on other platforms or something, which I’m really not inclined to do for more reasons than just it being a tedious pain.

How comes people have 50 players in their block list and I have none? Like, for real, how do you achieve that? Could you describe a few typical interactions with other players that let them make it to your block list? Just curious

It’s not even that. For 300+ hours in game, I’ve heard people actually talking using ingame voice (I don’t use Discord) may be a dozen times, and it were just random phrases ignored by others. They type some stuff in chat sometimes, usually gameplay-related - but honestly, I’m too occupied with the game and often miss most of the important things they actually ask me lol. There has been some trash talking in there sometimes, usually related to character looks, or class, or some awkward roleplay - but that’s about it. How comes people find dozens of mysogynists in there, somehow lol?

No clue. Maybe it’s differences in server region or something - I connect to NA East and most Auric pubbies have been pretty silent for the most part. I believe OP when she regales these experiences, and maybe I’d get the same amount of flak if I weren’t AMAB, but it hasn’t happened to me.

All this talk of block limits reminds me of my problem in Path of Exile of the ignore list somehow being full whenever I try to block a spam bot.

i was asking that too.

i think a temp block option would help if you don’t want to run into the same people because they proved to be clueless, but on the other hand it’s nothing personal so one could try again when they get better.

i guess some people are just more sensitive.

I’ve read a bit, and apparently the topic starter is a female, which could be a problem if she is also sensitive to what people say. But whatever, if it helps somebody they could rise it to 1000, it just seems like in most cases it’s just easier to ignore some stupid slurp than reduce your matching pool. But it’s personal preference ofc

reaching the 50 limit is crazy work…

lift the damned block limit. if Fatshark won’t ban these people and Fatshark won’t let me block them, then Fatshark is forcing us to interact with sub-human bigots if we want to p[lay the game we paid for. this is not acceptable, and not a safe environment for children.

@FatsharkJulia

I really do not think children should be playing this video game…

Nor should they be taken into account when discussing toxicity on most online spaces. It’s more a matter of public manners than child safety.

Teenagers are dumb children too.

ah yes, the good ol 90s
if it wasnt “straight to the gas chamber”
mothers were :eggplant:
or entire bloodlines wiped off the face of the earth.

personal favorite:it aint important to win, your enemy has to take out the cd, break it into shards and slit his wrists :face_with_tongue:

and somehow everyone came out unscathed still

as a default everyone in the game is mute for me, couldnt say if they were munching doritos, jerking off, screaming at the top of their lungs.

dont care.

if they suck so badly to the point of actively sabotaging the match though, they get a place on the ban list for being useless meat, simple as :man_shrugging:

are having hormone induced brainrot anyways, let them enjoy their pervert phase, not much you can do against (and should) biology anyways.

personal take:
“safe spaces” create weak people in the end
back in the day a bleeding nose taught us insults have consequences.
online though… ignore or retaliate and move on
fun fact: lan parties were civil cause you had only a desk between

Ah the glory days when people carried CRTs to their party, games required no Internet connection, and the enemy was peeping from behind their table like prairie dogs out of their holes.

Anonymous online voice chat is never gonna be a safe space. Children shouldn’t be on it.

no. most people are fine. bigots like that aren’t people. if there is a way to exclude them further it should be employed.
