Yes, most people are fine and we should be able to block people like that. Players shouldn’t have to be exposed to racism. Not going to argue that point.
But if you believe the chat in an online multiplayer game filled with blood and gore should be a safe space for teenagers you’re delusional.

That wasn’t the point. It’s a game where you shred dozens of people to pieces, being a paramilitary for a fanatical secret police organization serving effectively a fascist state. Some “bigots” in the chat is the least worrisome “bad influence” your kid can become exposed to, if they play this game.
Hardly, parody and satire are exactly the kind of things teens should be engaging with, particularly now. The greatest weakness of lunatic positions is their absurdity.
Yesterday I was in Auric Maelstrom with a player who wanted to get ASS achievement probably. He went down and left.
So after the match I went to block him, but guess what: you can’t block players who are offline. How absurd is that?

I have over 2,000 hours and have only felt the need to block about 5 people. If you need to block over 50 people then maybe you’re the problem?
I have 3000 hours and blocked maybe 5 people. Consider that you are saying or doing something that rubs other players in a wrong way.
Often times it really is no use telling people that you think they suck. Even if they do suck, telling them won’t fix that.
Especially as there seems to be zero moderation within the game itself. I’ve had to block loads of people and must be near my limit
A guy from my Steam friend list apparently got banned from the game for 24 hours for “bad behavior”. Only saw a screenshot of this, no idea what he did. But he is a Heresy player, so I guess interacting with Heresy playerbase caused some psychic damage lmao
Auric has been like this for years. Absolutely nothing has changed. Crazy for loudly people cry that the game has been made braindead easy, yet almost every Auric match is a endless circlejerk of people joining, dying and leaving. If I had to block every player that does this, 1000 block limit wouldn’t probably be enough.
Right now, given the 50 limit, only the worst of the worst, such as trolls, griefers and cheaters should be blocked. I even stopped blocking people who die on the first wave of Havoc and leave.
True enough. But right now games aren’t being backfilled when someone disconnects.
honestly, some bot replacement situations were a huge increase in performance

Bots are tanky? They go down in no time. I have to admit though, they’re better at getting you out of a net than most players.
