[PC] - Vermintide 2 - Patch 1.1.0.1 Content Update

Home now looking at the challenge board and this reinforces that new players have a big advantage: it doesn’t track our kills/clears… so in order to unlock everything… a vet has to redo every level on every difficulty as every classs (clearing the higher difficulty doesn’t indicate it gives credit for the lower difficulties for all unlocks). I’ve been told it may clear for lower difficulties, as per below, so hopefully it’s not as bad as it seems.

I don’t mind having something to strive for and other people doing the same, more opportunity to get to know new people etc while not necessarily running a ‘‘loss’’

Also try the new system before you judge it, I may be mistaken but I hope clearing the game on legend considers other difficulties in a retroactive manner. And otherwise, well, the world could always use more heroes. :man_shrugging:

Doing it on legend does clear the 3 lower.

For all of them? Cuz I see that for some but not for the class related ones.

@Nova If it does clear lower it’s not as bad but I mean… we even have to replay the tutorial for crying out loud.

I got a lot of claimable rewards ready and waiting in my challenge book, FYI ''Complete act 1 /2 / 3 are all done.

Not to be rude at all but give it a few hours, see how you really feel about it then come back if you still feel bad about it!

I will note that yes you will have to do the tutorial again, that one wasn’t completed.

A bigger concern to me is all the back-end errors when interacting with any of the keep systems.

Yeah I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be overly harsh on this as it’s a great and welcome addition, its just salt in the wound that new players have an undue already so this just frustrates me beyond belief.

Don’t worry, it’s a fair point and concern.

I’m frankly quite mixed on it which is why I’m staying neutral myself, It’s sour that day1 players aren’t compensated for living through the ordeals and staying loyal but on the other hand I’m just happy they’re not throwing their hands up and are trying to listen to feedback and attempt to apply it where they feel it’s a genuine issue.

I will note that with all the retroactive rewards I received in my challenge book I got about 23 chests, which is still nice and better than starting over 100% with all achievements.

edit: 2 shade helmets in ~30 chests, whilst using the shade career, so they were relevant too.

12 later, another shade helmet and a red (trinket), but with waystalker equipped. Please have a look at this for next patch, Fatshark, or clarify your stance on the subject please!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m realy happy with lots of improvements that 1.1 brings us. But still I want to complain about some issues we still have.

  1. No “bad luck protrction” system. No matter how you increase drop rates for cosmetics and reds there still will be some people with very big “unlucky streaks”, in VT1 there was a “quest board” to obtain specific reds, here we have just more chests that gives you some chance to gain something. And for cosmetics we have “complete all maps with a certan career” achivement or “complete 100 champ+ maps with a certain career” and I’m OK with it, they fells a bit grindy, but hey, sooner or later I’ll get this hats for all careers I want, but I have no way to gain reds I want, no matter how many time I spent in the game.

  2. Dupes. There is another problem, red dupes, ofc I don’t think that “no dupes at all” design is good, personally I’m happy with some of them, like 2 necklaces or 3 charms, but I can’t imagin how should I use my 8 trinkets (in addition to my 4 perfectly rolled orange trinkets) or 3 hagbanes and 4 volley xbows. The problem is 2/3 of my reds are dupes, and most of them are useless for me.

There are different sugestions to solve it, the one of them is to add “red dust”, so u can dismantle reds you don’t need and craft another ones, or maybe an option “reroll stat values w/o changing properties” so people can craft oranges with stats they want much easier, maybe someone can sugest even better or easier to impliment solutions to this issues, but for now I feel that there is still a long way to go.

P.S. A few words about “forge animation” in crafting system, can’t we just live w/o it, or if it’s needed for some reason, can you make it not so long? Craft overall feels a lot faster then before, but I just see no reasoning behind this “forge animation”.

Agree. I’m totes down with re-playing earlier content/difficulty for rewards. I don’t really see any way new people could have a leg up on me; I’ve had a lot of fun, built a lot of skills, and still got a lot of loot from my opened chests. I could have hoarded chests but that would have meant less items and materials to work with which would have kinda sucked. And now I still have things to work towards, makes me happy.

They didn’t “fix” the droprate. They changed it to be more rewarding. You’re clearly overreacting like a spoiled child instead of being grateful, get over it.

That 100 Cosmetics plus are coming was announced via Email from FS some weeks ago.

Doesn’t change the fact anyone who’s supported the game from the start is placed at a marked disadvantage compared to any newcomer. This isn’t a complicated concept. Not compensating the ppl who’ve stuck with the game through its darkest days is exceptionally poor customer service.

I was really excited for this patch but have went from excited to absolutely done with it in 5 minutes flat.

62 commendation boxes opened, jack sh*t veteran or cosmetics. So you upped the rates from what 0% to 0.5%?

Absolute joke. Take your grind and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. To hell with your daily quests, for what, more boxes that contain nothing.

I already got one in 15 chests so it does look like they did increase the drop rate. I think what they didn’t add is bad luck protection to the drops, which is unfortunate…

Also really exciting is it looks like there’s ways to earn a variety of cosmetics from the various challenges for each hero, so there’s a good guaranteed way to get some of them. I can definitely see how they can use the daily/event quests to offer up other specific cosmetics too, hopefully that happens.

Also @Avar I got a bunch of chests for stuff already completed / credited for, so hopefully you will as well:

Dude, you can’t evaluate droprates based on 22 chests. Like at all. @arknox said literally 2 posts above that he didn’t get any items from 62 chests, maybe take that into account too, no?

I have already calculated new droprate thanks to people reporting their loot both here and on reddit. New droprate both for reds and hats is 1.25% Sadly can’t tell how much bigger is it compared to the old one
