New Playable Characters

I really cant imagine a lore explanation of a skaven hero. An ogre mercenary or vampire, sure but a skaven? That would be hard to rationalize.

Keep in mind this is the End Times, the world is literally ending and chaos is slowly consuming everything. Kislev is mostly gone, the Auric Bastion isnt built yet so its open season on the Empire, skaven and chaos hordes destroying entire towns in Reikland itself. I mean the situation is pretty grim and I’m pretty sure people would take desperate measures to try to survive the literal apocalypse.

The skaven are extremely backstabby, they will kill eachother or work with their enemies against their own kind if that helps them get the upper hand. Like others have said, rival clans wouldnt think twice about fighting against clan fester even if it means working with the Empire. The same empire that will stand side by side with Vlad von Carstein against Chaos in the near future.
Having a single skaven wouldnt be that unreasonable, neither side would like it but why would anyone say no to fighting a common enemy. They can just kill eachother afterwards anyway.

Ogre mercenaries are fairly common so why not.
Orc mercenaries also work, orcs dont care about which side wins as long as there’s fighting.
Vampires
Tomb Kings
High Elves
Lizardmen

They really should look to adding more of the races, it would add more fun.

Im not saying theres no reason in the lore for skaven to fight each other. It would even make sense to have a pack of skaven doing what the Ubersreik 5 (or 4 :wink: ) are doing and sabotaging CF’s plans. But having a singular skaven join the U5 and be accepted by them as a comrade in arms? Im not buying that.

  1. Yes we definitely need Kislev
  2. Kislev is actually based more on Poland than on Russia, considering both, the social order and the fact that they have winged hussars
  3. Weapons could be:
    -Saber
    -Hatchet
    -Bardiche(Axe/Halberd-Thing)
    -War-Scythe
    -Koncerz(Long one handed thrusting sword)
    -Mace
    -Bow
    -Pistols
    -Musket (Maybe double barrel)
    -Throwing Axe(low range and capacity, but high damage and re-usable, maybe better for dwarf)
  4. Careers could be:
  • Adventurer/Officer
    -Active Ability: “Moulinet” in contrast to other active abilities this one drains focus while using instead of resetting focus on zero. While using the ability the Kislevite will swing his weapon around in continuous swirling motions giving both offense and defense.
    -Passive Ability “Sidearm” carries a pistol with every one handed melee weapon(like WH rapier)
  • Winged Hussar
    -Active Ability: “Charge” Charges forward skewering enemies in the way
    -Passive Ability: “Into the Battle” replaces the charged attack. instead the player can brace the weapon with the point forward. Running into an enemy this way will cause damage, every enemy killed this way will increase speed and damage(obviously only until a certain limit). Running into an enemy that won’t be killed by this will stop the charge.
  • Sreltsi
    -I don’t know… some generic soldier stuff

So they should be more Saltzpire than Saltzpire is?

And the Winged Lancer on foot… makes a lot of sense /s

I think the careers that would make the most sense for a Kislevite character that is on foot, instead of horseback, and not an Ice Witch, would be:

Boyar: "The Boyars are the mid-ranking Officers within an Kislevite army. They are grim, determined individuals that have fought many battles and the past and are often used to lead pulks of warriors against invasion forces. "

Strelsi: Streltsi are an elite branch of the Tzarina’s army that specializes in a combination of blackpowder rifles and the use of a halberd, much in the same way as the style used by Kossars.

Kossar: Kossars form the backbone of the Tzarina’s standing army of foot-infantry. The original Kossars were originally an Ungol tribe who worked as mercenaries, fighting with the Gospodars against other Ungols tribes and had adopted a unique style of fighting, that of axe and bow. They went on to teach the Gospodars these tactics and the present Kossars exist as a mixed unit of Ungol and Gospodar soldiers.[1p]

How about vampire, von carsteins and silvania are still theoretically part of empire
Though im having problem with 3rd class besides vampire and blood knight

Besides that:
Questing knight/banished knight/paladin
Shadow warrior/loremaster of hoeth/phoenix guard(or white lion of chrace)
Tomb king/necrotect/liche priest
saurus old blood/temple guard/scar veteran
skink priest/skink brave/chameleon skink
orc shaman/black orc/savage orc

So many heretics in this thread ! We only need a Warrior Priest of Sigmar !

And while Sylvania is part of hte Empire, the vampires, dsepite Vlads and Mannys belives, are not…

Ok make it vampire lord… archetype remains the same, mix of melee and shadow/death/vampiric magic.

Not like theres vampire count hero unit literally named “vampire”.

I guess f*** it, just remove certain features and make necromancer.

THIS. I know people will complain about the lore etc, but there are many ways to make it work without breaking the lore.

Every class i pointed out would be against chaos so it fits the lore.

Wood elf and dwarf are already very unlikely allies.

Female Halfling hero.
Fieldwarden: Ranged oriented, simple to play starter class.
Scoundrel/Thief: Melee oriented, good at special/elite handling.
Battle Mage: Magic oriented, tank, uses somethling like an inverse blue overheat bar, loses tankiness as she gets hit and/or spends magic.

Anyway a healthy dose of animosity would be welcome. I really dont mind constantly mentioning how he will kill me after this thing entire thing is done.

Sister of Sigmar? Nah, GW blew them into the center of the planet with the Mordheim comet, and then had the grand theogonist declare them all heretics for not dying.

Vampire lord (Or Lady), Blood Knight, and Caster careers might work.

Could have a dark elf’s careers be Witch Elf, Corsair, Black Guard, Executioner, possibly an Assassin, Dread Lord/Lady, maybe even a Sorceress.

High Elf options could be White lion, Swordmaster, Shadow warrior, Sea Guard, Archmage, Loremaster, Noble/Prince/Princess.

We need groundmarines :rofl:
