A year later and i’m still getting random crashes near end of missions, try to reconnect and get crashed as soon as i load into the map, team extracts without me and i get no exp or rewards, i literally can’t level up my Psyker because of this, quit the game a year ago, and it’s still the same… huge dissapointment.

Only got the log from the 2nd attempt at rejoining the game.

For over a year now all of my crashes have only occurred on “torrent” maps.
I can play the game smoothly at low-medium quality on any other map category / profile.

Only “The Torrent” family of maps give me critical errors and crashes. Quite frustrating as it prevents me from utilizing quick play for the rewards bonuses as I have to ensure torrent maps are not present for that difficulty.

I’ve reinstalled AMD drivers, I’ve tried undervolting my card and reducing settings, running with capped frames etc.
I had no issues last week but this week I cant even get as far as joining a game.

Frequent freeze immediately followed by CTD mid-game, always in combat, usually during attack animations. Every map and mission, indiscriminate.

Reinstalling GPU drivers didn’t fix. Lowering settings didn’t fix. Minimum recommendations are met. Have essentially no background processes running. Worker threads set to 6. Have also deleted Appdata.

Unsure what is causing this.

Issue Description: I just crash, sometimes the screen freezes for a couple seconds then I crash to the desktop. The only thing to note is that this happens only when in a mission. I’ve tweaked multiple settings and I don’t know if it’s my GPU or the game. I don’t seem to have issues with my PC as I’ve done a GPU stress test for a couple of hours with no issues.

Error Displayed (If Applicable): Just crashes while in a mission.

I wanna preface this—I ADORE THIS GAME. This is everything I’ve wanted in a coop shooter, let alone a 40K game, for a long time. I just wish I wasn’t having these problems.

Issue Description:
Consistent crashing to desktop, mainly during missions, regardless of settings.

Legion Pro 5 Laptop
13th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i9-13900HX (24 cores)
32.0 GB GDDR5
GeForce RTX 4070M 8GB GDDR6
1TB Samsung NVMe m.2 drive

• While it’s incredibly frustrating, I can at least load back into the game in under a minute while listening to my friends tense callouts on Discord.
• In a <3 hours session of Darktide, this will happen 6-10 times.
• I have no heating issues with my laptop.
• My VRAM is not remotely maxing out and my laptop does not swap GPUs mid-game (as gaming laptops are notorious for doing)
• No CPU usage drops
• I have tried every variation of graphics settings, worker threads (including 1), background application shutdowns, reinstalling, verifying integrity, app cache deletion/restoring.

Regardless of what I do, I crash 6-10 times in <3 hour play session. To get the error logs attached, I queued up for a Malice Quick Play and got two CTDs while playing. It’s that consistent, I know I can get them basically without fail.

Played another Malice Quick Play on my Veteran. Crashed twice, second time within 30 seconds of loading back in after the first crash.

Barely used over 4.6 GBs of VRAM during entire missions, no dips in RAM whilst that would indicate a crash.

Crashing today every 0-300 seconds. But yesterday I played few games without problems.

Just play full round and no crashes (and before sold few guns from inventory). So its related to morningstar lobby, not to matches.

Hey, had a night where I played 8 matches no problems! No Crashes!

Boot up my computer the next day and have crashed at least twice per mission (and basically only during missions) since 4 days ago.

Please. Optimize. This. Game.

There is NO hardware commonality among the people posting on this thread. There is something wrong with your engine.

What is the problem. You want more players yet neglect to solve these issues? Shooting yourself in the foot.

I had this game for three(?) days before I crashed repeatedly for the first time.

It’s been an issue ever since. And that was before I realised my Nvidia drivers were out of date by ~2 months. Just…please give us some feedback.

Endlessly posting here about crashes is only discouraging.

I played the beta and crashed 100+ times(DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG) and never got it to work. I refunded. Now I recently changed CPU from 8700k to 7800x3d and decided to try the game again. It worked really good for around 30+ hours, then now suddenly I crash every game.

I’ve tried alot, clearing appdata, reinstalling game etc. Still crash every game. Is this ever gonna get fixed?

@FatsharkJulia are your developers still working on this? Any progress at all? Love the game but to crash after a 30+ min game and lose everything really kills the motivation to play your game.
