AMD Driver crash since latest update

Since the last update, the game has been causing driver crashes in my GPU - the game itself does not crash, but my screens go black and I have to reboot, then uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers. Since it’s not crashing the game I have no bug report, but this is a novel problem for me - no other game or program does this, nor has Darktide ever done it to me. I have an AMD 6700 and generally play on medium settings for more frames.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Play Darktide.
  2. Usually on the second run the screen will go black and I have to reboot to even get default picture back.
  3. Drivers are then non-functional and must be uninstalled and reinstalled.

This likely won’t address the crashing, but should help with the drivers uninstalling themselves. This is advice I’ve received from AMD in the past:

Might be that Windows “updates” (replaces) the AMD driver with one from the Windows update after the crash. To disable that behavior follow these steps:

Control Panel → System → Advanced System Settings → Hardware tab → Device Installation Settings → Select “No” → Save Changes
