Since the update on the 25th have gotten nothing but Back End error when trying to play the game, i have tried flushing dns, making sure that the game is on exceptions for both firewall and windows defender, verified files, reinstalled the game.
The issue seems related only to the login system/servers. Activating a VPN, logging in to the character screen then deactivating the VPN allows me to continue and there’s no issues with the gameplay servers.
I have the same issue, I sent in a support ticket (40319). I included the DNS addresses and darktide log. I’d like to help more but will only share files through that ticket, not here publically on the forum.
I’m in Romania, ISP is Vodafone. If I connect through mobile hotspot on Orange or other work VPNs it works, but it’s not feasible for an online-only game that has bots but won’t let you play with them.
Before the update was always good, after the update if the VPN is enabled (Regardless of country) always at the entrance to the start menu to select the operative writes an error “Network Error”, if you turn off the VPN and when you boot into the Hub to enable it, everything is fine. I live in Russia.
Hi there, I am experiencing this backend error issue as well. I’ve tried every workaround that has been suggested and nothing is working, I’m not sure what pertinent information you require but I live in Canada if that helps and I did experience this same backend error issue when the game first launched (or more specifically during the early access period one week before launch). I do enjoy the game and would like to play it again sometime so any help with this issue would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
I tried alas I’m still getting the error - I see few people mentioning Vodafone, I have the same ISP. Thanks for looking into this, hopefully this will be resolved by next weekend
After using 3rd VPN, and for whats worth its free as well i was able to load to character menu, AND turn it off to play further. Not ideal, but i guess it works for now
It does. Some internet providers like orange or Voda are using specific firewalls. Logged into diferent interent provider and no provlem, used VPN, and it also worked. However i cant log in using ethernet cable on orange as you did.
It is still a Shark problem tho. And it is very selective in nature, because other friends of mine with same router from Orange (EU internet provider) could log without problems.
