Did you not read my post? It was fatsharks original plan to implement attachments which is why there’s an entire internal system dedicated to, guess what, swapping out attachments. They scrapped the idea and made the excuse it’s too similar to call of duty. We all know its because they are just lazy and letting modders do all their QoL work now.
I guess I’m not sure what you mean by “some kind of macros”. Did they tell you that or is it just what you’re calling what you suspect is a cheat? I’ve just legit never encountered anything like that from a mod or macro anywhere in this game where someone was able to increase the RoF on a weapon beyond what it’s natively capable of. Even in other games with extensive macro support, I’ve never seen them do that (even if they’re otherwise able to practically automate gameplay).
Either way doesn’t sound like an issue stemming from typical Mods.
Only time I really see health bars giving a huge advantage over others is in those “sh*t hits the fan situations” being able to prioritize enemies at lower health than others is a distinct advantage because you know which enemies will die quicker thus enabling you to survive longer/kill enemies faster.
…I don’t see how that should be a problem at any level. As far as I’m concerned, it’s just a health bar. I still have to be able to see the enemy to shoot at it. In most cases where tracking might be important, the enemy I’m “tracking” is already pinged by someone. So…It seems you’re just being curmudgeonly about something silly.
It gives you an information advantage when there’s shitloads of crushers and you have no idea which ones have been hit, which I genuinely don’t think is anywhere near a big enough deal to take the mod down over it. Spidey sense is cheating for any but the actually impaired, but people will always find ways to ruin things in their psychotic pursuit to never have to lose in a video game.
You always have a substantial advantage in all situations, not just the “oh craps”, if everything is basically tagged and you can prioritize the things that are near-death to maximize the up-time of your talents and other on-kill benefits as well as survival.
Can you ping all the mobs at once? . EVERYTHING is being tracked
So…It seems you feel called out and are just making excuses for something cheezy.
P.S. LOL at ppl pinging things.
At this point I honestly don’t see the benefit of using a mod like that anyways. Majority of people who average gametime daily are playing the hardest difficulties. The last thing I want is a mod to make the game easier. I was very happy with the recent difficulty update and that mod is the equivalent of dropping the difficulty down all in the name of convenience sake. If that’s what they want, that’s on them. They need to be aware though they are relying on a crutch to make the game easier for themselves. Simple as that. Therefore anything they “achieve” with that mod will instantly be null and void, in my opinion.
Anyways guys, the main problem is Fatshark and the unfinished game.
I cannot imagine to play without my ahk script that save me to press a button during 30 minutes, I have no possibility to use the color I want for my clothes except by using for the drip mod. Ration pack mod permits me to see how many charges are still remaining on this ammo crate. The crosshair HUD, associated with stamina vis let me have all infos i need around the crosshair. Custom HUD permits me to arrange everything how I need it.
I cannot play with Brunt without buy until rating, or you have to delete one by one hundred of weapons.
My favorites permits me to avoid any accidental deletion of a weapon.
Born ready makes me ready when I pick a mission.
Better buff management permits me to split things between buffs, debuff, effects.
Panic stimm permits me to inject a stimm quickly.
Prefer Auric saves me some clicks everyday
Sorted mission grid makes the mission windows better.
True level permits me to see the expected skills of a player.
I have recently cleaned a little my mod folder… however, I cannot imagine, playing without all these mods. I could remove several, but there are many that I think that should be already implemented in darktide, especially cause it is possible and should not take them lot of time… several players created these mods on their spare time.
The main problem is that they cannot filter mods that they would allow and mods they would forbid unless they start validating all of them. I believe they don’t want that.
However, what is true is that several mods are at the limit border with what is called a cheat.
Tbh I really would like that Fatshark improves a lot their game to the point I would not need to use mods. Sadly, we are far away of this.
Unless someone doesn’t have audio cues because of deafness/divided attention where they need one of their ear muffs from their headset off… Like me. Then, it helps me stay on point. I also lower the range to about 1/4th of it’s total offered value.
I would not say it was laziness. In the decision process of which systems to focus on as release began to loom, they had to put some systems to one side. The basis was there for the attachment selection, but management clearly decided they had other things to prioritise. Like the cash shop and … hang on, I’m thinking …
I agree. For example, I loathe the mission terminal’s messy approach. Sorted Mission Grid makes it a lot nicer to navigate and I forget that the ‘vanilla’ setup is eye gougingly horrible. Those sorts of QoL mods should really be adopted into the game.
You’re right… I should not have used the word lazy. But they delivered something that was clearly not finished. While I can understand not everything is immuable and a game has to evolve, several parts of the game were not implemented cause of bad choices (weapon customization) and I think also lack of will to develop such good features. Several parts were also not implemented for a money reason, aka releasing a game to get money to continue to develop the games
That’s what I would point as “lazy”.
