Fatshark you really did LAZY job with WS regen nerf- Her ammo passive is useless now and her Passive is non-existant with 2 Grims taken. Change it to aura for team

What bother me the most, is why did they made gameplay of krub hunter around headshot, while keri got better bow for headshot.

Wouldnt it be better for keri to have a headshot gameplay ?
Or would it be too op because her bow allow too easy headshot ?
Still headshot bonus would have been way better than passive bonus that require no skill and would have definitively fit the class lore really well.

I responded to this guy in the thread.

Actually huntsman got crappy headshot weapon, it is more luck than skill atm to get headshot with longbow at mid / long range.

Keri should definitively get huntsman talents and passive ability.

Agree. At least passive variation.

Played all the classes through their last class, and took all them to champ at least once, and I have to say, just revert her regen back. The way it is right now, it’s just really bad. I don’t play her as my main at all (love Sienna too much), or even off (Sigmar needs to bless this ravaged body), and jumping on her to see what had changed felt really bad.

The healing wasn’t buffed in any way under 50% hp, it only goes to 50% hp, the ammo regen below 50% feels like a punishment, and it just feels bad on someone who isn’t meant to be that low. If you want talents with an hp threshold, fine, the more merrier! But, put them on someone who is meant to operate at that level, like, you know, Victor’s Zealot. Make it a high risk/high reward thing, not a high risk/mediocre reward. The ammo nerf to her along with all these damage changes would have made her in a good position, but all of it with the regen nerf was too much.

She could be an asset to a team as much as anyone else with her passive saving healing for the team and the (slow, tiny) team heals that would top people off after some time. I had no problems with elves having a regen.

Notice, I said could, so don’t even mention the bad elves running solo and eating all the healing, or by Sigmar I will come down with a holy fury that even Archaeon will feel like he needs to find a Church of Sigmar. I have a friend who mains elf and he would give healing to the team and try to be a team player, only taking healing when he was one hit from downing or dying or when the team was full on hp and the situation would lose that healing (falling down holes, or off ledges, ect…). I honestly don’t know why people kept complaining about elves, but I guess they just didn’t meet a good one.

edit: And if you the regen on WS was just too strong with all of that, then switch with HM, I think it would fit better on it anyways.

First of all- congratulations of listening to haters bandwagon- You nerfed her in most LAZY way

Why do people think the developers react positively to feedback that starts off like this?

What’s wrong with:
“Hey Fatshark, I see you nerfed the Elf’s regen, but that left a couple of talents in a bad place. Here are a few ideas to help balance them out.”

Her regen was fine, but instead of reducing the regen to only activate under 50% making her ammo regen useless at the moment. They should have simply increased the time between the regen ticks to appease all the casuals complaining about her on lower difficulties.

But you know lets ignore the facts that there are more then 2 difficulties in game and listen to all the complainers complaining that certain talents/abilities/weapons/heroes are effective on the lower difficulties but completely change on Champion and Legend.

We are all humans and we react like humans. They might not react positively to my tone of fist sentence but that doesn’t mean that whole post is not constructive.

Besides I am a man who when see someone did something wrong- just says that straight. I am not very polite as person.

I didn’t write this to Fatshark for them to like me but to highlight issues. They may even hate me, whatever. But there is an issue and I will continue to highlight it.

Aye. However, the start’s condescending tone really detracts from your points and you might find that you might have to defend any vitriolic content in the post along with content that might have constructive feedback.

Well, I guess they need find out by them self then. Besides it I would only lie because I do think it was a Lazy change at last moment and I do believe it was because of haters bandwagon, so I would just lie to say it different way because that’s what I believe.

I am sure open for FS to proof me wrong though.

I haven’t read the whole thread, but from my point of view both passives old and new is useless. Passive HP regen teaching you bad habits, like ‘I can miss several hits with ease, HP wil regen anyway’ and you won’t learn how to play on higher difficulties, where this regen is totally useless. Therefore, it will be more logically to give passive ammo regen (from talent). Waystalker is ranged class, so it should have a lot of ammo. Keeping the range and not being hit will be more logical gameplay than relying on health regen.

But if we force WS to be mostly ranged class, talent tree should also be revised.

They should change her passive to something releted to scoring headshots for example or increase range weapon crit chance.

If they can’t balance Hp regen, then just replace it.

this is the spear thread all over again. some of the things said here are on par with “the spear can cleave chaos warriors and is more aoe than 2h hammer”

Hello everyone! This thread was pretty hard to follow, because it has pretty opinon-based discussion, so I’m sorry if I repeat someone or make argument that was already pointed above!

First of all, lets agree that nerf was needed not because haters were to loud.

Devs stated that they collect a lot of ingame data and statistics, so they should have seen picture better than any of us could from our perspective. But I feel like waystalker was overshadowing any other class and character in the game, by just the amount of her being played. Have you seen lobby without WS? Have you ever seen shade or handmaiden? Exept from lvl 7 and lvl 12 elfs all I got was a waystalker, and if I would try to play a game with elf, I would struggle to find a lobby so bad! They created 15 careers for people to play all 15, not just 1! (okay, I am a bit exaggerating, but you can hear my point). So, I assume, they looked at ingame stats and decided that career in it’s pre-release state is not what they want to see in the game.

Let me argue on some of your local points:

Are you shure it works as you think it does? Zealot passive takes lost hp into account, but nobody seem to complain about class not being viable with 2 grims. How’s that? Well, HP that is missing because of the curse contributes to the passive. I am pretty shure, that having 2 grims would mean that you will always have regen active. Please check it out.

Now some general considerations on why I think that passive regeneration and amo recovery shoud have never been introdused to the game, and why it will always be broken, no matter how they try to nerf it:
This game is about resource managment, you have to use what little you got to the best. Any ways to get extra healing and extra ammo in game 1 were extremely strong. But they always came at a cost of risk: you needed to kill/hit enemies in order to have any of it. And if you had very low HP, risking for kills to get healing is a pretty fun and balanced mechanic. Mainly, if you have the skill in general, you can make up for some unfortunate mistakes. And you may notice, that they tried to change healing to temporary, and scavenger is not there anymore, at least not as it was before.
But then you introduse career that has all of the resources for free, no skill involved, no risk involved… Doesn’t matter what other careers you you would try to make and push, they will never be as good. Dwarf ranger could get you healing and ammo for killing specials, but you may not even know this, because he is nothing compared to WS. You can see, why peaople are conserned.

Hope you will take time to understand my considerations and account to them with cold mind.

P.S. I am a bit lazy to seek quote, but you often say that having regen is punishing for good players, who tend to not take damage. Well, if you are the one, play shade! She dosent have regen! Or handmaiden, or (Kurnos forgive me) zealot! And leave WS for someone who can’t play flawlessly. If you feel, that class is not suited for your playstile, you can shoose to play smth else.

Yes I am sure that Grims work that way. I played yesterday Legend runs with grims and can confirm 100%

it is how it works. on anything past vet, and probably vet at this point unless they’ve further gutted that difficulty, it leaves you with so little health that any attack will down you instantly. certain friendly fires do too.

Chill. They aren’t lazy they were patching the !@#$ out of stuff prerelease. They are a small team. Just give it time and they will listen to our feedback, they will see that their nerf was the wrong way to go about it, and they will change it again. Maybe back to how it was, because there wasn’t anything wrong with it and anyone who says it was op doesn’t know what they are talking about, or maybe in another way.

Personally, I would like to see it reworked entirely. Maybe something skill based so whiny scrubs don’t cry its op. I would like to see it be more active, like headshots can turn a portion of your temporary health into permanent health or even better, steal an amount based on what enemy you headshotted. That way it rewards good gameplay and sniping specials(what shes best at) feels more meaningful.

With two grims the passive activates at 17% of total hp.

Also don’t forget with the regen nerf and the ammo nerf hangbane is mostly useless now. It has nearly no ammo and you can’t regenerate ammo, because passive nearly never triggers.

Please Fatshark think a bit more about that useless nerf you did!

+1 to the OP. Starting her regen at 50% health was such a stupid decision; it’s ruined her viability with endgame groups. I hate the change–but what I hate more is the way it was stealth-added into the release instead of running it through BETA to be tested. That was a cowardly move. I lost a lot of respect for a company I used to praise because of it.
