This is the grim dark universe we are talking about.
“Hi, I’m your Chirurgeon! Would you like to remove scars? Change your facial bone structure? Perhaps a new eye color? We can change just about anything!”
“I’d like to choose features that make my face pretty.”
“WTF are you kidding?? You’re a prisoner! This is the grimdark future! Stop objectifying yourself! Get out of here coomer!”
“OK thanks I’ll just go buy some leopard-print pants.”
Pretty accurate…
I will admit that I did laugh.
Hello, Marshmallow.
I’m glad you brought this topic to attention, I myself did it last week on the specific issue of the non-existent difference between the skins of the two body types. I also mentioned Catfish, but received no response.
I fear that, as absurd as this may seem, this is one of those issues that Fatshark has labeled as “controversial” and on which it maintains radio silence. I really hope I’m wrong.
“You wanna change your personality? Pfft… I know I can literally de-mutilate you but that’s too much!”
I’m actually kinda boring, I try to make my character look as close to myself. My Ogryn my bestfriend actually said looks like me XD Still not sure how to feel about that one lol
I have notice on my zealot, only female toon I have, that the cosmetic ( I forget the name ) eye implant doesnt actually rest on the socket of the female zealot face but instead there’s some empty space between where it would rest on the male face model and the actual eye of the female zealot. It’s kinda weird.
its a thing on male faces too, I think its not much an implant, but a vision addition device without making your face uglier than before
more faces yes sure… more hairstyles sure… for all both male and female
Problem is also cosmetics models. We need boobs.
If the two are the same, why do you assume that the female is the one getting shafted, instead of the male?
Why do you not think of the possibility that both of them are getting shafted, since they both do not get something unique?
This is ridiculous.
Every time that someone simply asks about additional options regarding female characters, people start bringing up politics, sexism, objectification and bs like that…
If the same request was made in regard to male character options, i am pretty sure that none of those people would bat an eye.
This shows quite clearly who the real “problematic” people are.
Please just shut it and stop projecting your own thoughts into someone elses simple request.
Are any of the male personalities missing ult lines like female Seer not having anything for scrier gaze? Do you not literally go from the character creation screen where you have a clearly female torso, to the tutorial in your prison clothes where it becomes male?
Its equally bad that they don’t get actual characters given the writing. But its pretty clear to see from a development standpoint which came first and which is the bolt on ‘hey we did the thing guys’ not effort.
Pretty sure it is not a male torso.
The clothes are not form fitting and most of them have strong padding.
With that type of clothing, any detailed body features just disappear visually.
Unless FS introduce the option to select much more extreme differences between the male and female models (which i would like, but do not think they will do), their differences will not be very visible with that type of clothes on.
Thank you for your service! It’s very risky to be overtly progressive on the internet, as we all know! I for one am tired of the misogynistic technocracy attempting to silence us, comrade.
Oh, by the way, i recently started playing a 5th character and guess what? They call you acolyte, in every single cutscene. Zola calls you acolyte at level 2. Rejects is literally from the very first part of the game.
Can attest to this from when i was in the military, that clothing is just flat width/length no bends at all, you would not be able to tell the difference between genders if you don’t see the hair or obvious chest differences.
Yeah except you are just shouting it into the vacuum, just because people want better cosmetic options doesn’t bring up politics, sexism or any of that nonsense, people just want to make their characters look good, regardless of the gender of their character.
My experience differs from your’s. Even with armored vest and helmet the female soldiers had a different stature that was noticable. The only time I couldn’t tell was full NBC gear.
Technically it is not a male torso, in the sense that the two models are separate, but in fact the differences between the male torso and the female torso are zero. For all intents and purposes they are indistinguishable.
In this regard, I suggest you take a look at my topic, which I have already linked in answer number. 104: there, you will find screenshots that clearly illustrate the cases in which this issue is most evident, i.e. the cases in which there are no justifications (in terms of lore and logic) for the absence of differences between the two skins (for example, with the tank top).
