Basically the title, normally a new patch would bring me back to the game to play the new content and new toys, but the thought of having to re-engage with the crafting system just makes me not even care. To properly test out 7 new pieces of gear would take ages of frustration and its just not worth. This issue is compounded for any new players who now have even more gear to sort through to find what they like. Until crafting gets addressed, player retention from content updates is gonna be bad.

New gear dilutes loot tables.
Balance changes eradicate prior work and builds and brick new weapons.
New weapons and balance changes should bring about joy, not despair.
Quite a few new names on the wall of remembrance today.
This. Everytime I see “we add new weapons” I am like “wtf… you can’t even max out weapons from beta and you just add more to the pile of RNG. Genius”
I really sometimes think that Fatshark management is just either too simple minded to understand anything or their Chinese overlords just don’t allow them to change anything. Best part is we were telling them that since BETA tests. They just don’t give a F about our community.
Look at Studios like Larian or DRG devs. Constant communication, listening to feedback, building together a good game.
Fatshark is like typical low-effort corpo, that just pushes turd for peanuts and spend huge $ on PR to try to tell us how golden and awesome that turd really is.
There is no way it is incompetence, well maybe with patch updates, but it is very obviously intentional.
FatShark is the typical Cyberpunk/Shadowrun corpo, they are only interested in dollars, not feedback or anything that doesn’t resemble praise for their product no matter how bad they bend you over the barrel.
Did I mention how great this game is? I really mean that, until you get to crafting and cosmetic shop then it’s a big L.

I have 11 millions ordos and 90k plasteel, playing at the slots has never been a interest of mine… In my playtime i was lucky enough to get some satisfactory weapons to get a couple of decent builds, I mostly play those until I’m bored and take a break for the game. This crafting system prevents me to explore much in the Veteran and Psyker, since they are a bit less interesting for me.
One of the pleasures of this game, especially since class overhaul, should be tinkering and tailoring your build and weapons to your playstyle, since now you have so many options.
Instead it’s the most frustrating part of the game.
This patch is making um go down like dominoes!
#BreakTheLocks
I want to experiment with new builds with the new weapons. But I can’t. Because of the locks and Hadron bricking EVERY ROLL. What great “content”
Should I go back to playing War Thunder this weekend or try out the new Rogue Trader game that’s coming out?
It’s multiplayer now so that makes it fun. 6 players.
Yeah, almost as if some people were able to predict that there would be a feedback wave regarding crafting whenever they add in new weapons.
You have to wait till she’s in a good mood.
If you upgrade your white to green and see the perk is on lvl 3 just leave her alone.
Somebody probably sent her another Ogryn for “Headlamp fluid” or something.
New weapons… and here I am blowing 20 million ordos and unknown amounts of plast trying to roll the surge blessing on a voidstrike. I mean I only have 400 hours in game.
If they really want us to wade through so much RNG they should be inundating us with weapons; 3-5 per mission, at least.
“the surge blessing”? What are you on about?
Double shot on crits. Surge is a tier 4 blessing on Trauma and Void.
It’s basically useless on Trauma though as it only applies to your left click.
I would like to remind you that this is what you, FatShark, literally promised post launch:
Instead you delivered some of the worst dark design ever implemented by a western developer, with layers upon layers upon layers of RNG.
Fix it.
I couldn’t try them out even if I wanted to bc I don’t even have the materials to make anything after it being wasted on gambling for other items that didn’t give me anything I wanted.
The crafting system is trash. The locks need to be removed and there needs to be ways to increase the percentage values.
+1 for hating the crafting system. If they think they’re going to get more money out of me by leaving it this way they’re mistaken. They’ll actually get more money from me if they change it to either:
- give plasteel when you sell/sacrifice a weapon
- Have a method of swapping some other non real money currentcy for plasteel
Basically like the division 2. It’s not hard. The crafting is the worst thing about the game imo by far.
