Yeah, I understand weasel words. That’s kind of my point. It leaves them openings where they can say things “we didn’t technically say…”
You do you. I’m just going to play and have fun without worrying about it.
Cheers,
The thinking mans answer…
Yes, let’s ignore that even the Devs acknowledge this is an issue because “I’m having fun”…
Man, you people never change do you?
Thank you for the sad statistics! I’ve thought about starting to write down some of my own.
The RNG is terrible! As a psyker I am mostly just getting autoguns and combat axes in my store; now and then I’m offered a duelling sword or lasgun. Last week I was offered about ten force weapons in total during the whole week. And all of them quite low on top of that.
If it would be possible to reload the store early for some coins at least, you’d get more chances of getting another axe.
You are very welcome!
I have however, stopped because… The Devs have acknowledged this is an issue after a good dozen or so people have been doing these statistics and persevered in hammering through the message on Steam, Discord, Reddit and these Forums that the current system will never reward you anything you want post 360+. The Devs will come up with solutions once crafting is fully implemented… Once we get our hands on that new gearing system, I will probably start over again to see what the chances are.
One can only hope they actually mitigate the issues so that we can progress our gear in a meaningful manner, that is all we ask.
I’m not ignoring the issue, and I’m glad they’re making improvements.
I just don’t let myself get all bent out of shape over a game. It’s not healthy.
I’m not getting bent out of shape, I don’t think anyone of the dozens of people that have gone to great lenghts are getting bent out of shape. We’re simply using simple math to show people that this is impossible and that such a system is ridiculous whether you like the game or not.
I am having fun playing missions, but my fun is also ruined when store refresh on store refresh yields nothing for me, then arguing with people which are like “you’re a moron, you don’t know math”, “**** off idiot”, “just play to have fun” are their main arguments why this is fine - as it is… I mean… It defies logic really.
All of that aside, I was actually having fun recording this and proving I was right and actually getting Devs to be like crap… Their math is correct and we made a major derp is satisfying as hell - because that means your action actually influenced improvements to a game - which is hella damn rare in the game development business.
I havnt seen any official response regarding this.
Care to direct me to it?
Thanks.
Glad you’re having fun too.
That’s the thing. I have 150 hours not 290 and I would kill for a 380 base stat evis
If Fatshark would just add the system like in Vermintide 2 where we can upgrade to red quality with all stats maxed and let us rng roll the perks/blessings until we are satisfied (also auto-max rolled) and its all fixed.
The Evis was the last one for me to get actually!
It makes a crazy amount of difference having a good one to having an ok one! for the Evis anyway
It makes a crazy big difference for all weapons… The difference in efficiency between a 350 and a 370+ is so huge, it’s not even funny.
Yea, but isn’t it damn depressing that that Eviscerator will always be stuck with either +20% damage to unarmored or infested enemies because we can only replace one perk?
not for myself, the unarmored trait is pretty common so I will be keeping that one. +20% flat damage passively vs half the enemies is pretty good
I feel your pain, and once again thank you for doing the work in the first place. That people don’t understand math or statistics is nothing new, sadly, nor that they don’t want to understand.
I mean, not too long ago we had people claim that physical items, like fabric, could not possibly stop anything from passing through it, while also simultanously strangling anyone who used it. They were basically arguing that the invention of walls and clothing were pointless, because if you can’t stop a sneeze, you certainly can’t stop wind.
Exactly that.
I do not believe we need to have max roll weapons, most looters do not let you dabble with gear, you need a new drop, or let you tweak in a limited fashion.
The problem is that FS is very stingy with loot and we cannot even get decent weapons of the type we want.
I mean damn I am 200hrs in the game, admittedly split between all chars, but I still do not have any Recon Lasgun on my Zealot !!!
I will repeat myself, but shop shoudl eb comimentary to normal loot drops not its replacement, especially with such low odd and no guarantee of every type of weapon for given class appearing.
FS give us more loot after mission completion, more for difficulty, more for monsters killed and secondary objectives. I do not care aobut rarity we will have crafting for that. I would love to see the system when after a mission we have a selection of 1-2 out of 3-5 items for example.
I bleive it would also let players that are just leveling up to 30 to actually try out different weapons,
The RNG and shopping checking and lack of shared currency or equipment between characters has really killed this game for me.
Most of that is checking the shop if I am honest and I still haven’t even got weapons I really want to actually use with perks I want on them…
I am giving up today.
