I disagree. With events being once a month at best I want 800-1000 as event rewards, bare minimum. Probably more like 2500-3000, maybe even 4000. Enough to buy a full skin set and weapons, is what I’m getting at.
Shocked this post had not been unlisted yet
Don’t buy it? wait for the next one? save money? = profit?
Releasing premium cosmetics worse than what comes with the base class dlc is definitely a fatshark decision.
looks to be stuff from the hotfix not playtesters.
In today’s news: Water is wet, sky is blue, heretics are meant for purging, and Fatshark doesn’t know how to make a MTX store that doesn’t suck
GG cry babies, FS is not forcing you to buy anything, so get over yourselves.
That coat does look pretty sweet
those sam fisher goggles made me laugh.
The SCAM is that the cosmetics look good and I want to buy them but I know they’re just e-pants that are worth nothing so I must RAGE.
How though?
You can usually see the new stuff by browsing the cosmetics in your characters inventory, but how could they see the storefront when it isn’t even out yet?
Probably from looking at lua and not at the inventory screen with a mod.
Can someone explain why you care about optional mtx that fund the devs so much?
It would simply get posted again ¯_(ツ)_/¯
You’re technically correct but I think we both know what they were trying to convey, so it comes off a bit like annoying nitpicking TBH. Especially since they proceed to describe it as “scummy” in the actual post, which you might disagree with, but it’s not something that can be attacked with semantics in the same way.
No it is not technically a scam. But it is still pretty absurd. Like if you see a turd painted gold and sold, even if it’s advertised as turd painted gold, and you say “that’s a scam”, everybody knows what you mean. Like come on.
Onto the main topic itself, look I’ve long since been turned off ever buying anything from the premium shop, so my opinion is pretty irrelevant but here it is anyway.
I would like some confirmation on the helmet thing, because that definitely stands out as quite a low point. Telling a group of gamers 20 years ago, heck even ten years ago, that one day the option of pushing your character’s visor up would be monetized as a premium cosmetic would sound like outlandish satire.
I generally like FS, but their premium store management in Darktide feels like it’s carefully designed to push the friendship to its absolute limits. I can ignore it in that I can choose not to engage with it (ie not purchase it), but I can’t unlearn that this is a thing that you have done. It does not reflect well and it instills reasonable distrust in your intentions and decisions.
Between that and how some here are clowning on people who want better bang-for-their-buck (that would also benefit them) I’m honestly just kind of lol’ing at this point.
That’s the difference between customers and ‘consoomers’ I guess.
we still don’t have access to the arbites talent tree, but at least they have not lost time.
Great move! FOMO Arbites store has opened, and still these friendly prices where one cosmetic is sold at the price of one DLC.
I love you Fatshark (ironic).
