Seems for me really similar. In fact the more expensive has one detail less and is just a recolor. So, why the increased price??
Also, the helmet has already been proposed by the past…

wonderful. the prices for everything are a bit high for may tastes but they were fine when it wasn’t just recolors and different parts of other cosmetic packs but this is just wrong at this point.
Yeah prices are frankly insane. I’ve spent a fair bit buying aquillas but now I’ve found some looks that I like I am very very picky about spending any more due to the cost.
If everything was half the cost (as would be more fitting for simple cosmetics with mostly recolours etc) then I’d be much more inclined to part with cash.
Charging loads of IRL money for cosmetics is a false economy. Given FS love gambling mechanics yous think they’d know this.
People use slot machines for entire days at a time because each go is cheap and they end up spending way more than they would have done it prices were high. Simple human psychology!

Wait are they seriously just recolouring the armageddon back to the original colour that came around release but with the helmet with the goggles off that came with the recolour we got a year ago and charging even more for it

I’m genuinely surprised. Usually they’re as silent as when asked what value RNG adds to the game.
I’d say maybe the next update might be around actually improving the shop
But after their most egregious display of how bad the ‘premium’ shop is here I doubt they are in the market for making it better
Like holy s*** many months working on this update and it’s a cosmetic we got at release with a helmet we got a year ago but with a even higher price tag that’s the best they could do.
I’d say I’m speechless but what I would actually have to say would be automaticity stopped by the automated “post couldn’t be delivered you said this banned word”

Listen guys, just move out from this FOMO crap and give us normal catalogue premium store with cosmetics. The First Descendant (from NEXON!!) didn’t even pull FOMO on cosmetics, you can just see them as catalogue and buy the ones you like and they are making bank on them. You can’t pull both fomo, increased prices and just poor quality of reusing same models over and over and expect people to throw money at you.
That might require them to actually make NEW cosmetics instead of just full priced kitbashes and recolours because a full store that is predominantly just the same things with minor alterations wouldn’t look great
We’ve gotta have minimum viable product with minimum viable effort no matter how much we shoot ourselves in the foot.
I feel bad for the cms on this one, looks like management is now forcing them to do something other than completely ignore this massive community sore spot(like they have for the last year and a half) management is completely dedicated to continuing to be awful
I mean, yes and no. You can have same/simillar armor in red, black, green, brown etc. and people may decide they need X version for their drip. I agree however, that poor kitbashing combined with FOMO and high prices just looks really bad. But I don’t think it would look bad in catalogue as “alternatives” if FOMO is removed and prices adjusted.
Could have a ever so slight chance of negatively impacting their bottom line 0.00000000001% and would take a slight modicum of effort to do

We’re dealing with a company that has found releasing version of the carapace helmet with a visor immeasurably complex in 2 years
And as said, THIS is very much intentional people have been asking for a rerelease of the steel legion set for a long while now, and this is how fatshark intend to try and pathetic trying and take as much advantage of that as possible.
Op if you have an image shoe what they charged for the first steel legion set back and launch and how it came with a weapon skin and cost half as much

The prices will continue increasing as long as there are people willing to spend their money. As for me, I’ve never spent a penny on their cosmetics and never will.
IMO these prices are only justifiable for a free to play game. DT is definitely cheap for what it is, but man those cosmetic prices are just criminal.
I’m sure they’re doing it because it’s making them more money from whales than selling these things for cheaper to more people but it’s kinda sad. I like throwing a bit of extra money at games I like through cosmetics. I’ve done it a heap for DRG, but the value prospect here is so far off it feels more like being straight robbed, I don’t know how they’d generate enough good will to not make buying a single outfit for that price feel gross.
The shop needs to have ALL the cosmetics available for purchase, and then put items on a rotating “SALE” (discount) to drive sales and tap into a bit of FOMO.
You know, “Sales,” the thing that stores have been using since the dawn of time to drive purchasing.
Imagine walking to Walmart and they are like, “Actually today you can only buy things from the gardening section. Come back next week and see what section you can buy from next!”
Much better to say, “Hey, you can buy whatever you want today, but we have some special sales going in the garden section.”
They did the same thing last year with Patch 13, where they said the DKoK cosmetics took extra time & effort, and we know how they turned out. Rule of thumb for me now is if I read that line in the patch notes in the future, I translate it to “we think these cosmetics will sell big, so we’re hyping them up in the patch notes.”
However, this time around, I can say that Steel Legion outfit for Veteran does look really nice. It is not enough for me to buy it - I’m not a Steel Legion person - but it gives me hope for future skin releases. Just a shame they are so overpriced for what they are.

This is absolutely one huge block to me spending my money, the price is really, really high.
Have the team that deals with this looked up other games pricing? If you look at Vermintide 2 
the pricing was more reasonable, with entire packs of cosmetics, one for each of the 5!! characters (on deal, normally £20):
