(ANSWERED) 14 000 aquilas to new XBOX Store players, are you serious?

Exactly what For_the_drip mod does…
Everything is in the game
Colors, textures and patterns… they have all things ready to deliver a fun system where buying something would get you an item that is worth the money you have spent.

EDIT and explanations:
See video above that show only a change of color. Enemies came and could not show the other options (solo with bot - malice - with progression and needed to complete it ;P)
The mod for-the-drip does not have any pattern in it, any color or even textures. It uses what the game provides. In other words, every color I have shown in the video is in the game. They can recolor every model with these colors and even apply patterns (like the horrible stripped trouser white and orange (google translate-not sure of the term)).
So, they have no excuse now to maintain such system. Until now, I would say that the game required their attention. Now they need to focus also on what they want to sell to us.

The actual system is not that.
I would eventually take new models, and only if they are incredible. I won’t buy recolors.
They will earn less money from me.

And believe me, I don’t care to pay to get items in a game… but not when it is a blatant abuse.

Imagine having an option to paint your cosmetics as you wish in game based on the tabletop game Warhammer 40,000, absolutely unbelievable

yes… cause you can do it with the mod that should not have to exist…

It should have been Fatshark that should have implemented that in their game…
Neocron, my first MMORPG, in 2003 had this feature and I could see the color that someone applied on its clothes… it was not only local… so they can do it.

No other 40k game has ever given the player the ability to customise their colours ever.

Yup

Halo had this in 2001

So, I looked at the cosmetics in the announcement and… I don’t think they’re that good, to be honest.

The Psyker one kinda already available in the Ordo store and I know I’ve seen the set with a mod.

Same goes for the two frames; I’ve seen them before when I searched all the frames in the database.

The Zealot seems to have potential, but it’s hard to tell from the picture.

I’m not sure if this is it, chief, given how long it took Fatshark to figure out how to fix their mistake.

Also, why is it taking until the end of November to distribute the stuff to the players?

I mean, they’re already a month or so behind, or “next week” in Fatshark’s language.

They’re all separate issues. I treat them as such. I just don’t go full-blast mode, because that doesn’t help anyone. It will just lead to your reply being discarded. I also would have been happier about the Aquilas, but I also recognize the effort that went into this outfit pack. It’s not a one-dimensional issue really.

Suggestion / Inspiration: Cosmetic Painting System + Hallowette implementation

Let’s inspire them to do it. I want this as much as you do.

I played Neocron Evolution for the first time ever last year, and I must say the game is fantastic!

It got dull when you got outside the city because the environment looked bad, in comparison to the city, and the vehicles were janky, however questing inside the city with Reshade for bloom and certain effects was a lot of fun!

Players are also incredibly friendly to newcomers!

Experience through the years shows that most of the times it very much is a one-dimensional issue. Especially the higher you go up the corporate ladder. 99 out of 100 times a decision is simply made based on money. Giving the deciding body the benefit of the doubt that they may actually have good intentions but “oh just so had their hands tied or couldn’t because of x” is why I call you naive.

Good-intentioned but naive. In essence your mindset is just as bad as the whales buying everything without regards.

I’m a fan of consequences. Bad actions should have consequences otherwise they happen again or get worse. The current generations fear of tangible consequences or lack of discipline to commit to such is the root of the issue.

It’s been a year and none of the main problems of this game have been fixed.

The crafting system is still barely functionning and the multiple layers of RNG piled on top of each other just to get an auric ready weapon are absurds

The cosmetic system is still the worst cosmetic system ever seen in a Warhammer game. Why is Dawn of War 1, a game released 19 years ago more customisable than Darktide ?

There is still no weapon customisation making some weapons worthless or unbearable to play if you don’t use the Weapon Customisation mod.

We can’t change the size or the voice of our characters

None of this is hard or long to make, they don’t do it because the higher ups decided that it would make less money than what we currently have

Well… It would be nice to at least be able to create new character already on 30 lvl with all equipment interchangeable within the same class at least. You made Loose Cannon (750+ lvl), but Pro sounds better? Create one (already on lvl 30), move all equipment and tadaaa you have a new character.

Dow 1 customisation went hard
Being able to use your own images for faction banners and icons was awesome.

But yeah, they have their corporate strategy for the game and as long as that keeps their bottom line afloat they don’t care. The only incentive to try is if they start to sink.

What effort ?

I do recognize something as well but it is just bullsehit…

Complaining is all well and good, but CatFish has been a consummate professional for the entirety of her tenure as CM. SisterSepticemia was the one who made the comment and subsequently quit/got fired.

I honestly thought the zealot set was the veteran set when i first glanced over it, since he kinda looks like the sniper enemy when crouched like that.

Anyhow, i am somewhat disappointed how this whole thing turned out, but not really all that surprised that this was the route chosen.
Honestly thought it was just gonna be some ugly helmet again.

I am gonna be honest, i am just fatigued when it comes to FS and their shenanigans at this point, they need to hire some PR people that walk around the office with a rolled up newspaper to smack anyone that does anything stupid on the nose.

But then their management/c-suite would not have noses.
