And even though we didn’t win (we didn’t get aquilas), we fought honorably. And now any XBOX player, seeing an exclusive set of cosmetics for PC will be able to laugh at us.

I’m a little (very) shocked that those who buy WH40K Darktide in the Microsoft XBOX Store (from October 4 to October 18, 2023) - receive 14,000 aquilas (premium currency)**. Only the XBOX store, Steam does not participate in this «promotion».

** Owners of the Imperial Edition receive 14,000 (14 thousand) aquiles (And THIS IS IN ADDITION to 2,500 currency, which already comes with the package), and the owners of the regular (Launch Bundle) receive 9,300 aquils.

THINK ABOUT IT, 14,000 ACVILS IS EQUIVALENT TO 60$,
AND 9,000 ACVILS IS EQUIVALENT TO 40$!

So, you (Fatshark developers and marketers) are SERIOUSLY giving a huge amount of premium currency JUST for fun to new players. Not the veterans who have been with you since the beta. Not those who supported you with pre-orders, who played for a year, supported you while the game was raw. NO.

I, as a person who pre-ordered the maximum set (in Steam), as a person playing and giving feedback on the forum about bugs, as a person BUYING premium currency (7000 aquilas, 2400 aq., after 7000 aq. again and 2100 aq.***) for the sake of supporting your project, your game - I am deeply disappointed.

*** I can provide receipts for the purchase of the game (full pre-order price) and in-game purchases upon request to community managers.

I have lost all desire to play your game.

I just lost the desire to at least support this game in any way. And there is a desire (which I am holding back for now) to change my review of this game (despite everything that happened with it) from positive to negative.

there is a post from them in the announce about this subject and a post down there about this already.

basicly “we see we have disapointed you, thank you for sharing your feeling, something will be done in the upcoming weeks”.

since giving us the aquila would probably take an hour at best plus two days to get exec approval the community is readying itself to receive a disapoiting helmet as a compensatory reward.

It makes me sad that «as compensation» we can get (along with the rest of the community, and those who got 14K aquilas) a free repainted existing helmet-asset.

I get that people are upset. I have not used my Aquillas that I got from the imperial edition (or whatever it was called) such is my disdain for the cash shop.

hey catfish, would it be allowed for you to tell us what was the thinking behind such a gift for microsoft newcomers? was this just to get more of them onboard or is there a legal reason with xbox/MS behind this that forced FS to do this?

is there anyway to refund cosmetics and aquilas? i dont wanna support these dogshit practices. two of the psyker chests i bought, one of the krieg, have so bad clipping its laughable anyways. i dont even get how an artists can release their work like this, its pathetic. ofc you only find that out after you bought them and run around in 3rd person.

You can’t get your cash back.

However I was able to get my Aquilas back on the Krieg Veteran cosmetics because of their poor quality (inaccurate modeling, terrible proportions, insanely bad clipping, etc) by highlighting the issues in a support ticket.

Interesting, better than nothing at least. Cuz Im 100% sure these issues are never getting fixed and those cosmetics are gonna berotting in my stash forever. I wonder what slave wage they pay their artist that they give zero f*cks about delivering finished models. I know a few ppl that work as 3dartists in games and they would do overhours on the weekend rather than delivering scuffed trash like this.

I personally buy cosmetics to support a project. I don’t care how I look. Fix the crafting system to be something that is even remotely fun and I’ll start buying cosmetics (and possibly come back to the game even).
