Knife zealots. All of my worst encounters boil down to knife zealots. The damage and range on the combat knife need to be nerfed to the stone age.
I just came back after a ~year off since the Karnak twins debut, but Knife Zealots are the same. (Insufferable, generally)
that’s exactly my issue with the stubbers too. the kickback is only single shot, but it comes out quick like a revolver, which flows seamlessly into melee. stubbers not so much, they’re more like setting up a mobile turret.
psyker at 36 was barely out of boot camp, if that was his first character.
Unsurprisingly, he was also the one that was yapping on the mic the whole round and dishing out lines from a 2011 CoD lobby that I’m not allowed to repeat here.
Yeah! I reckon that 1/2 Heavy Stubbers would feel a lot better with a Bash Special to justify how they’re obviously meant to be equipped for the majority of a Mission. I really think that Flashlights shouldn’t be tied to specific Weapons…
My worst experience in darktide…that involved other people was sort of my own personal hell.
Getting the onslaught pennance for ogryn was…hell. 5000 kills at 5 stacks of heavy hitter with heaby attacks…easy i thought.
No pennance has ever made me utterly hate every other player without justification for just playing the game normally. I hate this pennance with a passion and it made me so furious at everyone ever for just playing the game and defending themselves and killing enemies that i had to take a several week break from the game. No other pennance AT ALL has done this to me…just this one.

I’ve once played with a Psyker named “Scriptures” who spammed “Scriptures” every 5 seconds and used nothing but Smite. When he went down he typed something like “Ow, my Scriptures!”.
When I said that he is not even remotely funny, he got irate a bit lmao. Not the worst, but certainly very annoying.
Lowkey. Shame is useful to an extent. At some point, it does more harm than good. Shame is many people’s drive afterall.
Feelsbad. The joke prolly worked with his friends but quickly realized it doesnt hit with random people.
To make it worse, if you have the bleed on heavy attack talent the bleed actively steals kills away from that penance because bleed kills don’t count.
Very based. Special Attacks on Ranged Weapons count as Heavies and therefore my Rumbler’s Bash can be used to absolutely melt all kinds of Enemies… including Monstrosities.

Not worst experience perse, but just reading this thread. Heresy Maelstrom it was, I got trapped by a net because I dodged into a box, then a tox bomber jumped on me and a crusher finished me off.
That was entirely on me. Then I shift to the view of a Vet and he’s just not dodging in melee at all. Just trading hits and I see his health going down. I shift to another. Psyker who’s quelling while being shot at and I’m thinking this mission is f’d. Shift to the Ogryn and he’s basically saving the day, being the last man standing he gets overwhelmed at some point.
I just don’t get it, how do you get to level 30 and are playing T4 Maelstrom without realizing you need to dodge?
Yeserday the same experience on t4. Tried to teach them some mechanics like dodging and pushing ( pox burster ) but not doing anything with the advise. One guy kept shooting the pox bursters.
In the end I also got trapped at the end of mission and also the ogryn tried to save the day ( he was the only one that started dodging and pushing and also stayed close most of the time ) but he got overwelmd. He wasnt even level 30.
What I don’t get everyone always knows where to grab ammo canister for that mission end, but consistently people don’t hit/ignore the mechanic where you have to hit the 3 tentacle spawns on other missions running off in random direction away from objective.
Think we need a flashing notice at beginning of this mission segment, “hit the 3 tentacle things in small time window to eachother”.
Add ‘people tagging materials instead of just picking them up’ to the list. They literally walk up to it and tag it instead of picking it up…like…wut?
Oh and people trolling by shutting doors before teamates have passed through. Basement teenager energy.
Still all things mentioned in this thread pale in significance to the zealot shorts on current rotation. They burn my eyes. I’m considering becoming a heretic after seeing them.
In the past there was this believe that resources are not shared. I think some players still think this.
