The Drastic Decrease of Quality Players!

So, I’m somebody who mostly only plays pre-mades because I can trust the people within them & there’s good communication & such, plus they’re obviously experienced. Lately, I’ve been dipping my toes in & just playing in random games. Havoc & just the regular old stuff. My god… Literally lost 7, yes, 7 games in a row in Havoc. I was literally the last one alive each & every time it says a lot about the later games being challenging for sure, but maybe for some it’s too much on them? Who knows… This, this is the exact reason I don’t play with randoms, amazing. It’s too frustrating. They get caught by easy trappers, gunners, etc. Like, shouldn’t they know by now how to play? Uhhh… It’s Disgusting… Luckily, I wasn’t hosting Havoc to get demoted, hehe lol. But still, it’s just plain pathetic. Never will I go back with randoms it will give me a tumor.

You understand now, how much of the hell it is, some of us are forced to interact with people who only care about the reward and are not willing to actually try to win, or at least admit that they are hurting the team and change their loadouts to benefit others.
Sorry, I am very much angry at them, my teammates :rage:
(I am playing as Ogryn, so I guess I am the part of the problem)

I lost 4 times in the row on 21 Havoc(yes, I was demoted), people there just walk into the middle of 20 gunners and die, some of them do not actually know they can use their ults.
And you know what is funnier? They leave, so it actually becomes impossible to complete the mission.
Also, they do not communicate at all, not even a tag or “Thank you”, I actually thought they were bots, dead internet stuff…
(I wish I could kick people out of my team)

Thank god I found good people at Havoc 25, they were not amazing, but they knew their weaknesses and worked around that by sticking together and making builds to actually win.

Sadly, host left and we were forced to disassemble because none of us could continue from where we left off

Luckily, I’ve only lost one Havoc run because of the guy leaving mid mission and in general Havoc players seemed alright to me.

Auric on the other hand is a complete nightmare. I’ve played only one Auric Maelstrom to get access to Havoc, the run was just a clown fiesta of people joining, dying and leaving. I’ve made to the end and I have zero motivation to play it with randoms anymore. At least Havoc punishes being bad and having weak mentality, so I guess I will be sticking to it for a while.

How Zealot mains act after getting downed, spamming tags on themselves, typing racial slurs in chat and then leaving because no one revived them within a millisecond:

LOOOOL I’ve actualy met such Zealot recently. He was ping spamming for the whole match, whenever he got trapped or doggo’d, got down and he even spammed the security door while other teammates fought off the horde (literal moron alert). In the end, he somehow got down and died, despite me taunting and holding a Crusher clowncar, and when I typed “ping more” he replied with “you seem mad”. What the hell is wrong with these people…

Game has always been like this.

Fatshark would rather make havoc than levelgate auric properly.
And then havoc has basically same issue except with a pos partyfinder on top.

Must be reddit people who thought cdr is bad.

This seems to be a glaring issue with havoc :frowning:

It’s rare, but this has happened. A guy has his buttons all key bind together & was spamming like crazy. It drove me insane. Luckily, I had the mod where you can open kick option to kick fast. Of course we did… Really the only reason we kick is not because they’re bad or anything. It’s just dumb stuff like this & also the people who troll by holding ammo, meds & closing doors on you. I cannot stand it. I kick them immediately.

I witnessed 2 console players wander off and keep dying on havoc 17
I’ve witnessed a console player on havoc 33 go in with the shredder auto pistol and just mag dump into pox hardened enemies at point blank.

I’ve seen some things man

yeah. depending on randos is demotivating. with this host and party finder thing instead of quickplay even more.

what irks me the most is how many play on autopilot, they follow some plan and don’t change it to fit events. and if the plan fails, emperor forbid they learn something from it.

and you can have a laugh with reddit and their downvoting of anything they don’t like.

On objectives where you’re waiting for an elevator, why does everyone insist on standing in front of it? : r/DarkTide

I asked why people are trying to get carried in auric so much this update in my last game because this guy died twice in like 3 mins and he’s just like “kys” and leaves. Is it hard to realize when you are dead weight and don’t belong in a difficulty?

If I want to play with people who have no clue what theyre doing I’ll just play auric and maelstrom because theyre everywhere in those difficulties anyway as is. The last thing im gonna do is play with a buncha malice players who somehow have cleared lvl 20 or 22 havocs but when we start playing they instantly go down or its some perma smite psyker who thinks they can climb havoc ranks only smiting. Half the people I play with are not at all playing with havoc optimized gear which leads to a horrible experience. Im either playing with a low profile vet with kraks or its some grenade tinkerer vet with no survivalist who ran out of ammo and has no boss dps. Havoc is a nightmare and I wont be playing it. I also hate the havoc modifiers like puddles of corruption on the ground with no zealot aura to trivialize it.

The problem is the fact that theirs like 100 penance points associated with auric and maelstrom so you can thank the penance system for that. Auric and maelstrom are infested with horrible players who dont know the first thing about crafting or the fundamentals of the game for that matter. The people joining these hi shock auric games are the same people that go down 7 times in a regular damnation game and have to be dragged to the end of the mission. Judging from my experience in damnation recently and auric and maelstrom there is little to no difference in quality of teammate which is sad but there isnt anything we can do about it.

mfw I’m busy clearing/surviving multiple special waves and a patrol and our teammate has the nerve to start pinging “Go here!” like I’m just sitting around with my thumb up my butt. Instead of just helping me clear them.

And this is after I already had to save the entire team once already. I was a little salty I didn’t have the scoreboard active (Forgot to toggle mods back on), not because of damage done or anything, I just wanted to know how much damage they took along with them hoovering up most of the ammo on the map.

I haven’t really been playing much and I just wanted to do a run or two for shiggles but apparently that was a mistake.

Turning around after doing that objective and just seeing everyone dying was the epitome of:

It feels pointless to make these posts because these people will never read them, but it really is so frustrating lately. If we’re in auric maelstrom they should realize you can shoot a dog off of someone from like 5 meters away.

I’m right next to them with the dog pouncing on me and they wait so long for no reason, only for poxbursters and flamers to show up and disintegrate the dog and us both like a goku spirit bomb.

it´s not.
as with every venting, the sheer ability to share this glaring stupidity with like minded folk eases the mind to some degree, knowing you´re not alone or suddenly woke up in the twilight zone.

we literally had to drag a ps5 vet to the ammo box on auric damnation HISTG…
without a care in the world and the slightest knowledge about mechanics, he failed his way straight into the second highest tier and harassed other players with his presence and sheer incompetence in the most basic tasks.

the fact he was carried to the end sadly encourages such minded individuals in the success of their “tactic”

but having to ping the ammo box a dozen times while he was shouting for ammo, passing by several occasions was wild.

The bot actually survived better than the players somehow

Are penance rewards that enticing? Like, I have some titles/frames on from penances but it really isn’t important to me.
