Easiest way to do a band aid fix for crafting and make it a grind for good gear opposed to rng which is the issue. As there is nothing wrong with a grind but rng is just a fake grind that doesnt feel rewarding.

To start with a good quick fix could be to remove the locks so we can roll all 4 properties of an item having it cost more the more you roll going up by ALOT per roll so you have a material grind to get a 4/4 then allow items to have the stat %s added to them (up to the 380 max) for more materials and dockets increasing by a F**k ton have the last few % cost a ridiculous amount as the stats arnt necessary to do good but for a dedicated player they will be rewarded with the very best stats.

You could even allow reallocating of %s so move % from mobility to damage for even more materials. It doesnt matter how obsurd the cost is (to a degree) as that would be a real grind to get a perfect weapon not a luck based thing making it feel more rewarding when you have a beasty weapon.

Im just rambling. We shall see what they do im interested.

I just think Hadron is an idiot savant. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

When you want, she’s able to put anything on your weapon to requirement.
But first, she has to put anything on your weapon. And often does.

worst is… variants are ready. When we hope for NEW weapons, they will give us new VARIANTS…

Last time, we have got a nice dagger (yes MKIV is great, 3 weeks I test it) and also an awful revolver. Shovels look good but had no time to test (took fun with dagger on zealot and also on veteran). From what I saw, new variant chainsword is bad, and the new evis is good (but easier to play with, something I would have loved, so a good evis for a casual player or a beginner).

Catfish said there would be new weapons at some point, not Variants.
Also the Revolver wasn’t awful. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s bad. :stuck_out_tongue:

can u change the cosmetic shop too ? its better if we have more than just 3 page and new page every friday or 2 page per month

never going to happen now. we know fatshark tracks players stats (they do fun inforgraphics now and then with it) so they’re well aware people are playing downright unhealthy amounts of the game grinding out melkbux for no reason. if they GIVE a reason it looks really bad in the legal area on them and paid currency playing way too much is going to get them in trouble.

Huh? What?

Most companies do take telemetrics on their players and have internal data on what is used how and how often. It helps with game balance, bug reporting and all sorts of things and is standard practice in the industry whenever a dev studio is bigger than, say, 10 or so employees.

There is no legal trouble there at all, you agree to it when you accept their license to use the product.
Just because Fatshark was so kind to share some of these for fun, doesn’t mean they’re in hot water at all. Plenty of companies have done so before. I remember the Dota 2 devs doing something similiar years back.

yeah and now they don’t because there’s laws being made about using in-game rewards to push people into playing unhealthy amounts.

What law? Any source? I‘m not aware of any law such law - and many games allow to earn premium currency often even with atrocious grind.

That said I also don’t believe this will ever happen in Darktide but only because FS doesn’t want to - not because they aren’t allowed to by law.

The only thing with earnable in game currency and aquilas means it then becomes sensible to gate mechanical content behind it. I would rather the microtransactions be purely cosmetic. Don’t let them add earnable premium currency, it’s not worth the trade off as to what will likely come with it and people hyper optimizing how they play the game to grind the inevitably difficult to grind premium currency.

Just charge me real money for DLC like with Vermintide 2.

I’m sorry, but the train has already left for a while, and this announcement appears radiant and promising only because we are battered wives accustomed to abuse and silence. Once dismantled piece by piece, this announcement tells us absolutely nothing concrete, as usual. Nothing that would make me want to reinstall the game.
Oh well. I thank Darktide for getting me to pick up Warhammer miniatures again after a 10 year hiatus. Just today I bought the last colours I needed… it’s time for the Tyranids to devour the Galaxy.

I mean if the “dlc” content happen as often as VT2 does, I think they can keep it free and have the cosmetics continue paying for it

Even if i guess triple the amount of content they add comparatively to it

I dont think its even close to being that extreme. I know you are trying to make a point, but perspective is always the first thing to go out the window when people jump on the hate wagon. Its easy to get pulled along, its a natural human thing to do.

It doesnt appear radiant and promising to me, it feels like progress and getting closer to what the game needs.

What saddens me is, companies like bungie gaslight and fistferk their fanbase on a regular basis, theyve been doing it since Destiny 1 with their DLC, and people defend them like a religion.

Fatshark loses a bit of customer faith, understandably so in some places, not justified in others, and some “fans” turn in to frothing maniacs at every word, inserting half-truths and outright lies at every opportunity.

Just go on to the steam forum and check out the comments for their recent post about the V2 PvP for a perfect example. Just a near constant stream of undeserved hate, some of which is not even about the game, some of which is about Darktide, and most of which is about “why didnt you do this thing I want instead of that thing, where is my rattle!!” etc etc.

I just like the game. Its a good game. Its actually a REALLY good game. We should highlight issues ofc but some ppls expectations seem way out of whack imo.

Not that fussed on the crafting updates. It’s never bothered me that much. You don’t need perfect weapons to play on higher difficulties. Make the weapon customisation mod official . It’s so good and adds way more fun stuff like skins/ scopes etc.

Game play loop of this game is great. Just needs more maps and mission variety. Maybe some new enemies

It would be really cool if they let you do weapon customization, but you could only change 2 attachments. The rest of them are locked in

would you enjoy that? You don’t need perfect attachments to like your weapon anyways

Why this system is in the game then? Just remove
For longetivity? Make it good then

You can’t expect players will refuse chasing gear stats and the core part of item progression system

Imagine you go to buy a car, and dealer is trying to sell you some car with helicopter rotor. You ask why it’s there and he says - well, you can ignore it, if you don’t need it

What if you will say it about any ingame system? Don’t like sound - turn it off, gunplay is meh? - use guns less then.

Cool, does that mean customisable cosmetics (Color select, glove select etc), more gore, mission selector with selectable modifiers, a solo instance mourningstar or better yet a hub like vermintide 1’s red moon inn (While I’m at it, let’s go with hostable instances be it missions and hubs) and of course fully working weapon customization be on the table? @FatsharkCatfish

Oi! Anyone else fink da vets are gonna get tha cover art threads from dis update? You vets need some new armor, maybe dis is how ya gonna be able to get dat fancy rebreaver wif dat spiffy guard helm yeah?

Dat armor is wut I’m talkin bout!
Maybe it’ll be some of the new pennants stuff? I hope so. Seeing dem vets runnin round wif dem Krieg coats what’s too big for em makes me laugh, and I get shot at lots when I laugh. Ain’t no good ya see? But if vets had this kinda armor, I don’t think I’d laugh a lot…but that’s just me.

that’s not the cover armor. that’s the same design but in penances red. the cover version is in black and doesn’t have the gold eagle thing on the front.
