What class would you like to see as DLC after Arbites?

I’m torn between a Tech Priest (Skitarii?) and a Squat (maybe even a Votaan?? :upside_down_face:)

AdMech. I don’t care if it’s a Tech Adept or Skitarii or what. I just like their assortment of weapons and robotic look. Though I REALLY hope one of the personalities is more of a scientist than Omnissiah fanatic.

they won’t add a short class, they already said that. aside from that, lemme get a mechanicus of some kind.

Admech are my boys.

Wouldn’t buy it even then, though, given my protests over the shop.

Why not? Did they elaborate?

they just don’t wanna do anything like bardin because it was hard to make the height work with the rest of the game and characters.

But they already made Bardin…

yeah, and that was hard for them, so they don’t wanna make anything like him after that.

It’s just weird is all, with Darktide being a straight copy of Vermintide set in space, hell most of the melee animations are even ported over. Too bad..

A tech adept would be cool, something that’s more a support class with a huge Omnissian axe or something.

A Skitarii doesn’t feel quite right, that’s more akin to a Sister of Battle or Stormtrooper (so a bit more elite than the Rejects), and without changing the origin story feels like it’s a hard sell for a biomechanical cyborg Skitarii to not have been disassembled to some extent should it find itself in Inquisitorial custody (why keep a prisoner with tons of combat-specific augmetics fully operational?), or returned as spare parts to the Mechanicus. It’s hard to see how such a class wouldn’t just be a Vet 2.0 most importantly.

Ok to explain what they’ve (FS) have said before.

For the purpose of map making they are restricting to 2 degree of Point of View.

Vt2 had short (Bardin) and normal (the rest), while for Darktide they still wanted to do a degree of point of view, which left them with 3 principle candidates.

  • Squat, which they didn’t wanted to so cause they weren’t sure what to do other than it ending being Bardin but in space (not sure if Leagues of Votaan had already been announced/released, nor the Ironhead Prospectors in Munda)
  • Ratling, which they’ve never mentioned (yes there is that voice lne), but really doesn’t match with the tide gameplay.
  • and Ogryn, which they’ve picked, amd introduced as big PoV.

Now does that mean that Squats are impossible, tbh I would say no
Cause Squat miniatures are somewhat bigger than Ratling or fantasy dwarfs.

Seeing as Arbites were introduced, the main that I could see happen are in order: Tech Adept, Sister of Battle (minor odro), and Beastmen

I’m hoping for a non-human personally, either a Beastman or an Eldar.

Narratively the possibility is there given both Grendyl and Brahms have had enough of our nonsense, so the possibility of reinforcements leveraging either of their connections isn’t farfetched.

Admech and Sister of Battle are respectively the first and second most requested classes, so both of those.

Sister Novitiate or a Death Cult Acolyte make the most sense

Admech Servitors, Hammer and Tong, playing a brain dead slave to Hadron would be a dream come true. Kayex would approve.

I hope we can get 40k snakemouth elf

So the Votaan will have to be riding something. Perhaps another Votaan.

Either:

  • Skitarii, starts as Hypaspist (Effectively heavily augmented Guardsman) yet through perks and equipment upgrades can become more like Skitarii Vanguard/Rangers.
  • Sister Novitiate.
  • Abhumans Auxilla, along the lines of Nightsiders, and Felinids.

Whatever GW wants to push, is the class we will see, our wants irrelevant.

The only problem I see with something along the lines of a Sister of Battle is that it would be very similar to the Zealot, thematically.
