Fatshark has released a very fun and extremely well balanced career. Most of the suggestions here are neither necessary nor desireable. I would hate it to see WP getting Attack Speed or Movement Speed talents or even more DPS.
There are maybe two tiny changes I would support but other than that don’t change anything on Warrior Priest Fatshark.

Warrior Priest is a great, fun and balanced class
Add the Grail Knights passive for Warpfire Throwers to Unstoppable Force which would restricted enough (you need to use a shield) and fits with the talents name and intention
Let Righteous Fury increase from being near a monster/Lord which would be fitting with Lore and give him an unique role no other career fulfils
Change nothing else, especially do not give Warrior Priest more attack/movement speed and no more dps
I wouldn’t mind a movement speed boost when the Fury is up. You’re supposed to be swinging your weapons non-stop during it anyway, and his weapons won’t allow him to be a human rocket.
i dont know why so many players are complaining about his damage and that he is not capable to carry the team. You can stagger a CW with tome charged heavy attack out of his overhead and kill CWs on cata with 3 hits. Furthermore you can kill SV with
1 charged tome attack and sometimes if they are still alive you only need an additional light attack, same with maulers/bestigors. In addition you can stagger savage guys with tome and hammer light attack out of their chain attack.
my set up is : hammer&tome: with power vs chaos and attack speed + opportunist
charm: power vs chaos and power vs armoured
25% stagger talent
also i run smiter (which should be selfexplaining with hammer&tome)
sure in total he deals less damage than other careers on the scoreboard because you always have to prepare your charged tome attack, but the scoreboard doesnt say anything about how you are performing.
so yeah he is fine how he is, any buffs would result that he will be more a damage dealer than a support/tank roll

Considered the fact that he just came out tells us that something seems to be wrong with him and that hes not “fine”.
He’s a melee only character without high DPS and limited mobility, and an ultimate that has a strong effect but extremely poor generation for hit/damage. Ranger vet tier recharge. So he’s very often under heavy pressure and being unable to deal with specials on top of that sucks. Grail knight and slayer mince elites in mixed hordes without care, here you need combos or several flail heavies or a charged tome heavy ready to chip 1 at a time and stagger the rest. The pushing stunning you mid charge when you’re trying to maximize the AoE during his ult is also a terrible feeling.
The rest of his kit is very pedestrian since hammers aren’t not amazingly interesting weapons to use. Not having a single weapon to use with BH or WHC is a sad state of affairs for a career that’s priced the same as the others. Why not give them the book and tome? Or at least the greathammer. Skull splitters should be for all since it’s paid recycled content anyway.
Touching down on obvious outliers like SoT/moonfire and combinations like hagstalkers /griffonbounty doesnt sound implausible but hitting everything sounds like it´d be prone to causing as many problems as it fixes.
Personally i´d be happy if outliers got hit and then if borked talents got another re-do, like ricochet.
Fair enough. But I do agree that WP feels perfectly fine to play in Cata and beyond if you’re not comparing it to the current level of power creep. The only change I would make is that his weapon selection is pretty boring. Just hammers with copy pasta damage profiles isn’t really exciting for me.
Everyone is entitled to their own preferences. I think a lot of stuff could use nerfing as Cata feels like a cake walk at present. But that’s just my opinion from my experiences. It’s also possible that I’m completely wrong and 4200 hours is just too much to put into this game and still find it challenging enough to be rewarding lol. I can’t say I didn’t get my money’s worth.
Edit: also yes. It would be a lot of work. But the game would have to be revamped quite considerably before I’d entertain the idea of playing regularly again.
Yeah I think a few minor tweaks to the hammer book weapon could turn the class from being boring to being super fun. His toolkit is actually fun to play with imo. I just hate hammer/dual hammer/great hammer combo. All very low skill ceiling weapons.

Isn’t it essentially a 1h axe with a cleave push attack, minus some dodge? plus the dash/aoe stuff
timings on it feel a little rough but that might just be me
Yeah. The charge times are too punishing. And the 1h axe profile is just bad. I would have liked to see something like the second heavy 2 charge having a ranged component where you can target enemies from like a medium distance away and hit them. Like a spell or something. It would have felt unique and gave him a way to deal with specials a little better. Now it feels like a much worse version of UC flail.
I think they’re fine in some cases. Like on 1HH. But that profile doesn’t do enough elite damage to not be supported by some horde clearing options. For example, on flail, 1HH the profile exists but it isn’t the only/primary profile.
