EDIT and sidenote: grats on the perf. Can’t do such game with my Vet. And my main, the zealot, I have never reached more than 900k damages. Ogryn, same.

Im tired of this bs.
it was a 48 minutes mission in refinery 17, with waves of mutants, pox bursters, hounds, and weird overspawn of gunners, we could barely make some progress, it wasn’t fun, but then again, without voice of command is never fun
one zealot had chorus at least, the other was a 7 wounds thammer zelot with invisibackstab build proccing all the demon hosts (with my utmost approval)
with the vet nerfs to his standard talents kit you need to make up for thougness deficency with max HP, at least this was my solution, i even run 5% hp perks, you get 15 hp every 2 of those, 15 hp are so much better than 14 thougness you would get hands down (with 140 base th from talents)
just got another mill right now, this build is solid lol
turns out keystones were just big fat baits (who would have guessed)

Yeah it is kind of annoying that the “support” abilities are almost mandatory now to have at least one otherwise it is just suffering if the director throws a tantrum.

I said it… I have none of my vet build using a keystone…
none of them impy a gameplay I like.

Yes… I am better while playing zealot (sidenote… team changed cause someone died and has quit. So Velichar came lately… I also crashed at beginning… loosing a little part of total damages done in this mission…)
My feeling… poxwalker dies in one shot, shotgunner, gunners, snipers die in one shot also
As you can see, I used voice of command… mainly cause as a vet, I like to rez other players (so stealth and voice are my favorites abilities).
Crushers die in 4 shots (this is 1 more than revolver with surgical and 2 more than revolver with hand canon and surgical). Reapears and Bulwark die in 3.
Well, that’s not really bad… even I would risk at saying that it is good.
Sidenote: yes… materials collected is still bugged on my board… and still wondering why… (found the why… finally)
Plasma is top on my list, especially if he was running exe stance, no surprises you get those results in that particular game, with a proper volley fire plasma guy i get the same results aswell, but its still not my thing
also the new columnus V latest trend, those guys run fast, they get to more advantagious positions, take all the ammo and they are ready to shoot everything so fast that when you arrive with your bolter there is no meat left for you
bolter shines in those particularly aggressive malestorms where plasma and IAGs just run out of steam, with bolter you have an anvil mentality, you just run around picking all the plasteel while the others have their fun, and when the heat intensifies you show up and clear the map
with voice of command especially you don’t get good scores, if you use voice of command you should really try focus fire keystone (i know keystone stinks) but you get those damage buffs every now and again on the thougest targets
your normal run you should hit 500 600k with voice of command and focus target, if you have mk III power sword i suggest you drop the 0.25 faster stam regen (cause that’s just for push attacks) and get Redirect Fire, its practically a +12% damage buff for the entirety of the mission, that thing is always at 8/8 stacks
with focus target and voice of command together you can reach incredible numbers, not on score but on bosses
Build
The volley fire millionaire build i would recommend only on those who play with max hp like myself, there are many times where you can’t just get your thougness back, and have to run away and find your team mates while groaners poke at your behind (this is why i say its no fun)
when you are in choesion you are still strong despite playing with 140 meager thougness, i run 60% sniper resist, and i soaked a damnation sniper shot with just my thougness, it did like 80 damage (only thougness), with iron will, the 2x5% th resist nodes, and the 33% of the choesion bonus you get, i’m pretty sure you hit cap
I can’t fathom playing voice of command without anything that would give me an edge on the damage board, i don’t know how you managed that so far

this is the last game i played tonight
Veroth and the gun psyker were both running columnus V, even though Veroth died a cuple times he still topped the score despite the off time, if Veloth had ran a full hp build he would have done so much better this game
(and i was running my volley fire build, not voice of command)

Any amount of overtoughness lets you take a sniper shot without losing health, are you sure you could take a sniper shot without overtoughness? Previously stacking sniper resist with unwavering focus let you take a sniper shot without getting hurt. Based on my math, you’d need 214 toughness with close order drill, iron will and the 3 +20% sniper resistance perks to not take damage which seems like way too much investment when your chances of getting sniped in a run is pretty low to begin with.
there was a zealot in my team with chorus, i’m pretty sure i was not affected by him since he used his F right after i got sniped
i don’t remember but the only way he could affect me is that if he had the 15% thougness resist aura, i’m not so sure he had that though
i will keep playing with 60% sniper resist and 140 thougness (no voice of command) and let you know if it happens again

i got shot again while spawning more bots, while snipers would shoot at us

Weird, seems not all toughness DR things are multiplicative
2 team mates in choestion are not enough by the way
i would take 62 damage (which is also weird, in game i usually take 77)

where did you find an endless horde to farm?
i did the other perk dont seems worth it when you dont play shock trooper talent
but usually if i play mostly range i go power sword and mg aI with headhunter perk and ghost
since everyone need ammo more then me i will just give it to them instead of wasting it on my self
auric level maelstrom doing thing like that most of the time
after you kill horde next comes in like 30 seconds
I think vet deserve some serious nerfs or maybe even straight out remove from game. Its sad watching it just breaking the game all over again.

i’m playing a game in malestorm but its not working, even with all 3 in choesion, super weird
yes i’m just tanking sniper shots for science now
Would be cool if there was a consistent way to replicate this as it takes a lot of investment like I said earlier as opposed to just having any amount of overtoughness which already does this, meaning it’s not in the realm of unbalanced.

Last I checked, it’s not additive - not 60%, more like 50% with all 3 curios stacked. None of the dmg reduction should stack additively (except maybe corruption resist?).
Also, why do people post singled out scoreboards to prove how well a build or class is doing? I roll my eyes every time I see a post like this.

Several threads are opened to ask for a buff… Of something that already works.
Sure, there are things that need to be adjusted, changed, buffed or nerfed
But the whole class is not as terrible as several said it is.
Btw, my scoreboard is really far from the best I could post. But it shows how a plasma can perform
