Upcoming Crafting system adjustments are fine stop being toxic

Actually hold on, we need to pause the crafting conversation for a second because I have questions now that I’m looking at the full list.

I don’t for example get why the pool for it is so low compared to say the headhunter or infantry.

Hell even if they were looking at the idea of “oh it’s a run and gun weapon” tue auto pistol gets more.

My head hurts.

it’s so arbitrary! okay compare and contrast to this stacked frigging pool for type 2 t.axes

here we see almost everything is incredible. you’ve got limbsplitter as a dud option (some people disagree but i think it is a brick on this weapon), you’ve got all or nothing as painfully mid and then it’s nothing but bangers with the chase as arguably the best blessing in the game.

some pools have tons of duds, some pools seem to have almost none. the blessings need a balance pass soooooo bad.

Demand better. It is well within reason.

You say we should wait and test when FatShark have fully committed to not listening to community feedback.

You say you don’t like RNG but grudgingly accept a further flawed system as penance.

You say you want different playstyles but don’t even dream about the possibility that FatShark is fully capable of providing you with that.

And you’re just okay with all this? My problem with that is that they can fix this games flawed systems AND work on stability and new content. This isn’t a coinflip on whether they do one thing or the other. As developers they have the talent and dedication their issue lies with management and lack of listening to feedback

Can you honestly say that this game has earned your $50. Yes? I disagree. No? Demand better. Fatshark doesn’t need you to coddle them nor do they need people defending their terrible practices. Make any excuse you want, they botched this game and the reviews and player count prove it.

Coming from V2 I know the best of what FatShark is capable. But I also know they make a lot of blunders getting to that point and they still remain flawed as anyone else.

If you’re okay with them delivering a subpar product that’s fine. But you don’t need to bother telling people all the time that "They will never do this or “This isn’t a realistic thing to ask for.” Or something along that line of thinking. Being realistic with tempering your fellow player expectations is fine. Giving fatshark no credit in what they’re capable of is not.

I think my brain broke when I saw that the grenade gauntlet blessings.

Or the plasma gun having blaze away.

Which has arguably worse system than DT after this patch

All or nothing is also a bad blessing, even worst than limbsplitter…

they’re both bad i personally evaluate (remember, on a t.axe, a weapon built around doing a lot of fast combos, i think limbsplitter shoudn’t be in the pool at all) LS much worse than all or nothing. all or nothing would be a mostly dud roll, particularly compared to the rest of the pool, but eh it’s more damage. it’s not enough more damage but, meh it’s something. painfully mid, like i say.

Poor guy, sounds like he’s not getting the service he bargained for.

My favourite GG blessing is the one that is supposed to give you more power after every shot and stacks 5 times.

The GG has only 4 grenades in it.

And the blessing resets after reload.

Bold statement sir. You have relevant expirience to make such claims? Do you even have slight understanding how game developement pipeline works?

Didn’t know I needed to have a brain tumor personally before I was allowed to be a brain surgeon.

You don’t need to try and and “gotcha!!” me. I want this game to be better as much as you do. I hope.

this is why broadly imo when people say “it’s the crafting system” or “it’s the RNG” i don’t think they completely understand the scale of the problem? i don’t think these choices were made out of malice - to be clear: there will always be a worst in slot that’s the nature of games like these so duds happen, but you wouldn’t distribute the duds like this if you were trying to make an evil system - on good items it’s a complete crapshoot if your weapon has a good or terrible pool. this is all arbitrary and poorly thought out rather than Machiavellian tuning to waste the players time.

they urgently need to fix the ingame economy and the ingame balance, and because those things are currently kind of broken the problems with itemization and by extension crafting, the drops etc become much much more pronounced. i don’t think curios are supposed to have so many duds in their pool they just made +XP without really thinking about or finishing it. eventually you would polish these issues out, we’ve been waiting months now.

Im sory wans`t trying to catch you but you point of view as i noticed is generally shared by alot of ppl here and kinda boils down to this

Unforunately this is not how it works

Okay fair enough I understand your point on game dev time. Full disclosure I have no experience in game development pipeline but as bad as we see Fatshark now? I’ve seen games butchered way worse. That’s why I adamantly believe they can still make a comeback even if I dislike the current iteration of their game.

Yeah but 100 sharks in 3 months have shuffled some numbers around balance wise and not even come close to fixing crashing. There is also such thing as an unacceptable unproductive rate of development. Like when you withhold a core feature of the game from the launch day, claiming it would come in December.

To be honest we don’t know wtf they are doing. We do know what they are not doing though…

This is what we call in french, a bad faith argument.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

More people = work done quicker.

So unfortunately, creating video games is not how this works.

(also I’d like to point out that teams of fewer people have created completer games)

from observation i honestly think the crashing thing comes back to the lighting engine, which everyone and their mum was singing the praises of at launch for being so ambitious and full featured. digital foundry was super super into it. i think doing groundbreaking ray traced lighting (incidentally, a shockingly CPU heavy task which many people do not realize, most VFX like it are GPU only) in a title already hitting the CPU in a bunch of extremely variable ways was kind of a recipe for disaster.

this maybe wasn’t the best choice in a horde title which almost universally have performance issues due to their nature but by the time you really understand how much stability it costs you’re well in too deep. for an AA not triple A team it was a pretty bad call.

Short answer
I have played more than 500 hours.
It means I paid 10 cents euro per hour.
So satisfied cause I took lot of fun

The new system will permit to get better weapons. I had already good weapons, but I want to test several combinations… I will be able to do it once they give us the update.

Bottom line is… For me crafting is a tool to be able to play missions and renew the pleasure by using different weapons.
Don’t tell me it is not possible… I actually do it and the system we have actually has less possibilities than the one we will get.

6,000 hours in destiny 2…stopped reading right there…
