Still only getting useless gear from shop

I thought it was being changed so that at least sometimes the gear would be somewhat inline with your current gear level.

All my gear is around 355 to 379, but all I get from Brunt’s Armoury is @320.
What is the point? Why is this gear such a low useless level? I thought the point of this was so that we could actually finally get better gear (I’ve been using the same stuff for months now), but instead it’s done nothing to fix the problem of crap useless gear all the time.

I’m getting really bored with having to use the same weapons ALL THE TIME, and never getting anything viable.

I love this game. The core mechanics are stop on. All the stupid problems are fixable, but for some reason nothing is being done to help. The Vermintide 2 system was so good, I just don’t understand why Darktide has such an empty, shallow, boring loot experience. Possibly getting 10 completely random weapons (all of which invariably end up being useless as well) from end of mission rewards, or only being able to buy weapons WAY BELOW THE LEVEL OF STUFF YOU ALREADY HAVE is not a good experience. At least in Vermintide 2 you’d always get a small increase very regularly. Even if it wasn’t stuff you particularly wanted, the progression is still there. There is no progression in Darktide. It’s getting REALLY BORING.

Brunts armoury is complete rng between 280 and 380, noone ever said that it will give u high stat weapons, well, or i just missed it, anyways it’s a designed docket sink. I am personally already got a dozen of 370+ weapons from it. Not sure what is your problem…

From the “Patch #4 - Blessings of the Omnissiah” post: “each weapon starts at a base price and scales with the player’s level”.
I presumed this meant it would scale, you know with your character and stuff. Obviously I’m just an idiot.
Almost everything I get from the store is around level 320. I got one 340ish once.

It’s the system that’s idiotic, not you. Patch 4 pretended to fix RNG, but it really really didn’t. Allowing you to earn blessings is an improvement, but the patch did nothing to make it easier for you to get 370+ weapons. Just from anecdotal evidence of watching armory store, Melk store, and seeing what Brunt vomits out, it might even appear that high 370 is actually harder to get.

Well glad I’m not the only one who thinks it’s a silly system.

Weird how people who get good gear expect unlucky players to also get good gear. As if the RNG in the game is shared and everybody shares the same amount of luck.

U want to say that after spending 300-500k dockets at brunt u didn’t get a few 370+??? 300-500k dockets are farmable within 20-25 games rn…its not even a lot…

It’s a fact of life. UNLESS Fatshark has included a mercy system in which after rolling a substantial amount of mediocre gear nets them a lucky godroll, the system has absolutely zero guarantee of giving you a good piece of gear. Again weird how you expect the RNG to magically allow everyone to get a godroll. Yes the chance goes up but to what point did you spend to get to that point?

Whatever points made.

Well I’m not a no lifer, I can’t spend 20 odd hours every week playing this just for the 0.2% chance of getting something at a decent level.

Vermintide 2 you don’t need to be playing 20-30 games for a tiny chance of actually upgrading. And it’s not like it’s super easy and you just get handed stuff for nothing in V2. You still have to work for it, but it at least FEELS like your actually accomplishing something every 3 or 4 matches. It’s still all RNG, but at least your gear level can realistically go up by 1-3 points every now and again.

I’m not asking to just be handed the very best gear for nothing. I just want it to actually feel like I’m not just grinding and grinding for the chance to do RNG on top of RNG.

Gotta love when people assume I’m asking for GODROLLS on everything. All I want is not to be using the same stuff for weeks on end. But I suppose people on 500+ hours have got what they want so screw everyone else right? LOL

I would go as far as saying that the quality of gear in the shop WENT DOWN NOT UP. In my experience I did not get that many trash quality weapons before the patch, whatever we are talking about the base score of items or blessings quality.

Yeah, when reaching max you always received (or crafted) gear close to max power level. I don’t like the power level system in general as it forces enemies to scale extremely in regards to mass, hp, etc. but you point stands.

The DT system wouldn’t be terrible if they implemented something similar (slowly working towards “maxed out” weapons). I wouldn’t like it, but it would certainly be better than the current experience of RNG heaven (or was it hell?).

Don’t even need that. Just use the browser extension. Modder was looking for ways to actually buy in game too through the browser app. So eventually you won’t even need to have the game installed!

Giving your steam info to 3rd party is a generally bad idea…

I’ll roll those privacy dice. Better odds with the app then in the mourning star (aptly named).

People say this, but then they post console logs that have tons of private info a malicious actor could use on these forums. Curious!

You don’t need to be. You just need to buy 10 (maybe 15 tops) weapons of that type and you’re going to get some solid rolls. The old RNG shop is still there (with the app) too if you want to be at the whim of whatever weapons happen to roll high (but you generally only want to buy greys from that shop, as the blessings are usually T1/T2).

Sort of? I definitely hit a point where I couldn’t get reds without just a ton of Champion farming (I didn’t feel quite good enough for Cata, even though I regularly run Damnation in DT). And it was really slow to randomly get the rarity below that to a workable state.

So I think I actually did play close to 20-30 games for a tiny chance of upgrading, with the caveat that if I sat there and rerolled constantly I technically could’ve got the same strength of gear without reds at all.

Nothing like being told the terrible RNG you experience doesn’t exist by someone with lucky RNG…
