The crafting update better be like 2 weeks away and be incredibly chunky.
But who am I kidding, it’ll barely release before Xmas, and will ‘fix’ itemization in all the wrong ways.

Even Loyalist Moebian 6th Veterans do not get gas masks with their helmets?
Edit: The fact that there are Loyalist Moebian 6th Battle-Psykers opens up the prospect for Rogue Scab Battle-Psykers at least.

i just hope the penances aren’t the usual list of do things badly and we dont have every game ruined by some guy trying to solo a level with 1hp or kill bosses with a plushie and all that stupid crap achieves tend ot bring.

None of this is bad, it’s all good stuff, but as the sum total of 6 months of full time development work and content creation, there’s not much to interest or draw people back. Nothing here to pull friends away from Helldivers to drop back onto Atoma again.
If Fatshark can start putting this level of stuff out every couple months and address Crafting shortly, maybe we’ll start getting somewhere.
A more reasonable guess would be either June (optimistic) or August.
Believe it or not, it’s only been 4 months since the last major update (Dec 13).
A 4 month update cycle is not best case scenario, but that gives us three updates a year with the next in August and the third in December.
Remember if an update is something that will effect all the existing maps/missions (tox bomber) then that actually requires a huge amount of QA testing, let alone incorporating the actual updates and iterating (also more QA testing). 6 months is actually a reasonable amount of time for such an update imo.

A studio of similar size in the same town a few blocks away is producing a similar 4 person coop online shooter using the same base game engine is putting out new weapons and enemies and content every week or two instead of every 4-6 months. It’s also averaging 60x as many players online at any one time as a result, and is why I can’t find people for Darktide games these days.
Pretty much what I thought when they announced that they would put puzzles into the game, made somewhat sense that there would be no new maps if they had plans to change the layout abit to incorporate these puzzles.
So hype for puzzles!
That’s not linear maps though right? I’ve not actually played ‘the other game’ but looks pretty open/procedural and if so, that has a whole different metric for testing compared to tightly balanced linear maps etc.
That game is also brand new… So it’s not a fair comparison in terms of playerbase. People will get bored of the new shiny thing eventually.
Light of the Imperium continues to tower over the OST for me. I mean Jesper sampled half the OST for that godly 3rd part with all the instruments.
Also sad that the awesome helmets weren’t in the reveal. Enforcer gear when
OST never ever stops. One of the many facets of this diamond (in the rough, if ya please) that lights me up.
I’m pretty happy with this new set of armor, zealot helm especially. And there might be more in there! Excited to find out tomorrow.
I think those in the trailer are basic versions, cause there was ogryn helmet with mask datamined.
They had better be.
