Ready for tomorrow Fatshark?

Fatshark may need our communication and help just as often as we need theirs. To show my support I’ve started a small list of tips/tricks for Fatshark to follow so they can meet those deadlines and make more money from us. If you have any other ideas for Fatshark please add them as anything helps. Lets keep this civil and please only add helpful ideas.

  1. We checked the color of the day tomorrow to make sure there are no conflicts?

  2. We have our PC’s up and running with the latest updates and drivers?

  3. We paid for our internet service, the modem/router is turned on, and the lights are blinking happily?

  4. Our mouse and keyboards are connected in the proper spots and all the little buttons work?

When preparing for a big announcement it is best to ensure that the announcement is accurate.

  1. Try doing a dry run with the team present and make sure everyone agrees that it is accurate

  2. A little practice helps with smooth delivery and calms the nerves.

  1. Be sure to use spellcheck for your game’s title in promotional material.

We have reached the level of incompetence that should be purely theoretical, when we actually mock a company for its inability to even communicate properly, let alone generate content.

In any case I’m low key hoping they gonna announce the console release date tomorrow, so we finally know when the actual development for the content starts.

Can i get “Release date slated for 3 months from now, delayed 2 times.” For 100$?

That may just indicate that they have officially given up on Darktide at this point, which is not a hard conclusion to draw considering they have largely been ignoring the DT forums and shoving their heads in the sand for almost the entirety of 2023.

->Baseless claim as base of your hypothesis
->Named example is infactual
Just why, man?

I don’t use forums besides this one, but how much do devs or CM communicate on official forums for other games? Because I feel for the most part, they are right in saying:

We get the update/patch notes here which is nice, but besides that there doesn’t really seem to be much interaction. Especially now that Comm Links aren’t weekly anymore. I really appreciate that one Dev going onto the forums and talking about how cleave damage and stagger work, and very rarely Catfish will respond to someone, but besides that there isn’t anything. I’ve heard that they took the idea for the new Plague Hound modifiers from the forums but I don’t have any proof of that.

some sharks certainly read the forums, i have 0 doubt of that, many times before i recognized changes that were suggested.

dunno why they refuse to talk tho, its like whole company is under NDA, or something…

He said the game is abandoned and that essentially nothing really happened in 2023. And that just isn’t true. It’s just more Blackpill Doomposting.

What can you say? Sharks are silent creatures. :shark:

Staying quiet is the smart move in this situation. Engaging with the forums outside of announcements is inviting trouble right now, and you know it.

i wasn’t talking about heaty periods i mean the entirety of my presence in the forum wich is pretty much since V1 release, the amount of times i seen someone from the dev teams engage with people outside of either replies to tech issues or clearing things up in an inquiry they started, can be probably be counted on one hand.

dunno what you think but i struggle less in believing apologies from devs that engage heavily with their communities, even if they sometimes say things that don’t come to be true.
