Fixed bug on the blessing ‘Thrust’ that caused miscalculations of power bonuses. Blessing power bonus should now line up with text in-game, at max tiger 20% bonus stacked 3 times, rather than defaulting all tiers to 50% stacked 3 times.
I have tested these changes and I can tell you that the trust is now close to being useless
Zealot Hammer mk4 thrust 3 (15%)
no longer kills a mutant with 3 stacks at 50% hp
crusher dies with 3 strikes at 50%hp regardless of the number of stacks
Hammer mk2
The situation is much better, the mutant dies with 2 stacks at 50%hp
A critical hit with 3 stacks at 50% hp kills the crusher
Ogrin
latrine shovel thrust 4 (20%)
with 3 stacks of dps by crusher 478, without 412 +16%dps
bully club mk 1 thrust 3 (15%)
with 3 stacks of dps by crusher 722, without 681 +6%dps
I think that in this patch, thrust has become useless in most situations, and the other blessings are much better, and using thrust 1 and thrust 2 will only worsen
the situation, sorry for the Google translation
Yes, it was a bug and it had to be fixed
I published this post not to cry, but so that the developers would pay attention to this blessing, and make it enjoyable by increasing the damage at least to 90% or 120% for thrust 4
They really just want everyone to use the one cookie cutter build dont they?
Why would you leave cleavers as is and nerf the everyliving karkin ass out of the other Ogryn weapons? Can we get some input on the team that actually knows the situation with Ogryn?
I’d like to take a moment to thank our sponsor: #BreakTheLocks!
You see, FatShark, people liked Thrust before the nerf (even if it was buggy, that’s beside the point), and they rolled weapons to have this blessing. But now they feel like they want something else instead of Thrust on their weapons, but they can’t change it because of locks. Instead, they have to go through the RNG hell once again.
Not the first time they nerf something in this gacha system without any compensation or pity system put in place.
FS, if you make a gacha, play by gacha rules! Nerfing in such a system is the only cardinal sin you can commit, irrespective if they were warrented or not -.-
BB needs a buff. If BB needs a nerf then my chain axe needs a nerf. I match ogryn BB 1-1 most games.
I dunno about ripper.
Most ogryn weapons are super weak except BB which is weak against every other target and it makes no sense for ogryn to be this weak.
What? Show me your hammers. I 3shot crushers with ironhelm and 1shot muties. Body is 3835 damage, but headshot is a 1 tap.
Ironhelm is pretty finicky. I dunno if thrust 3 alone will net you a headshot kill on muties but if it doesn’t reroll one of the perks to 25% maniac. Probably the critical hit one.
Still wont 1tap on body but close enough that in any situation where you won’t be headshotting the mutie you’ll have some other buffs active or team mates dealing damage to clear out the last like 100-200 damage.
After several games with zippy fast BB Ogryns running ahead and soloing half the map both blocking enemies from view and decimating everything while not even falling below 1 of their 3 wounds of health I did get myself to level one and oh boy it’s stupidly broken. Probably I need to play more to get the full picture, but even with running something totally random like Thrush+Savage Sweep, it was ridiculously good (was running slaughterer+Confident strike later).
You should really try it. I’d describe it as Heavy Sword but twice as strong.
I have actually tried it. Though not in a while. It absolutely suffers horribly against anything heavier than a flak assault bruiser and feels terrible to use in those circumstances, as a consequence. It feels dead wrong considering the girth of Ogrynlads. I also rarely see ogryn pull more than 500 kills and about 200K damage in a given normal intensity damnation game or 700/400K in hi-int games. I pull very similar numbers in my games with the Chaxe, something everyone considers extremley mid tier or even bad. Meanwhile the heavysword, when blessed properly, will clear like 700 enemies and 300K damage in normal intensity damnation games. In my experience anyway. All of these stats are broken out as Melee and don’t account for ranged.
The bullybutcher is totally safe to go be violent with, for sure, since Ogryn has a very easy time when hes stuck in melee. But so does zealot. Its kinda their whole point.
Still, my heart will fondly remember days of glorious Daemonhost hunting, leaving whole lobbies of newbies speechless.
Same goes for Mutant Corrida, Olé!
It really made my Zealot character feel powerful and special. Typing in the chat “Suffer Not The Heretic To Live” and then roundhouse kicking the Daemonhost in the face was glorious and very 40K.
I have a completely different experience with “some” ogryn players and myself running it. I’ll take some screenshots of end-game screens the next time I play with it.
