Thread >1 = crash still

here is my spec :
i9 12900k ( 16 cores 24 thread )
32G ram DDR5 6000
RTX 4090

It seems there is still crash if you put thread >1. What a bad to play with only 1 thread fps arent ideal at this spec even with a 4090 :))

Lowering Worker Threads to 1 certainly isn’t ideal, and it isn’t a guaranteed crash fix.

Changing Worker Threads will have a different outcome for each individual system. Lowering all the way 1 will certainly impact performance - I’d recommend lowering your Worker Threads by less than this.

As for the crashing, please provide us with a crash report or console log so we can take a look!

Are you running Windowss 11 22H2? I have the same thing, where more than 1-2 worker threads makes the game crash all the frigging time.

Yep windows 11 but not yet the 22h2.

Btw i will add some log and crash report next time

here it goes, that was fast

I take advantage to give you this one log crash.
Happening on that map only and straigh at start (for me at least)

Thanks @rev! Both of those crashes are the same Access Violation crash. They’re code related, and we’re on the case!

Hi, I’m also running into a lot of crashes when running the game with >1 worker thread.
Game runs wonderfully with multiple worker threads, but crashes way too much to be playable.

I can attach the ID code from the bug later when I play again, but here’s the rest , as well as my system specs.

During the session that these files come from, I also monitored my resources. CPU, RAM and GPU were all high but nominal (around 80% usage, with the exception of my 16GB RAM which hovered around 95%).

At the moment of the crash, I saw no spikes in resource use.

It feels like the game isnt optimized for Windows 11… Many Windows 10 users are playing for hours just fine. I know 12gen and 13gen Intel CPU’s need Windows 11 to take advantage of both P and E cores. It has to be some issues with how the game handles those cores properly. I really dont want to reformat just to play. This is so freaking annoying.

One would think the Devs have access to Windows11 22h2 with a 3080 or 4090 and 12th or 13th gen CPU to isolate the issues. This is literally worse then Cyberpunk 2077 launch…

I half suspect that AMD CPUs could be the root cause…
but I haven’t seen enough data to confirm that suspicion.

Ive the same issues.

Nvidia 3090
32GB RAM DDR5 5200MHz
Intel i9 12900k
Hyperthreading is deactivated
so its 16Threads

more than 1 worker thread its crashing all the time

Just to let you know,
still same issue with the last patch 1.0.14

Just to let you know,

Another crash since patch 1.0.21

I put back my threads for this crash (18 on 24) to see if patch 1.0.21 fixed that issue.

EDIT : I confirm it’s still same issue with threads >1

So this are all my Crashes 99% of them are because of the Worker threads not set to 1, everything above increases Fps and playability alot but also Crashes in 10 sec to 5 min so not much fun to play there i have a ryzen 7 3700x cpu and a 2080super rtx card if you need more infos let me know but please try to fix that compability soon i see the games runs smooth in high settings with worker threads on the preselect settings (13) but it wont last long…

I ve packed the crash dumps in 2 zips since there are to much mb for this chat in one folder apologies no password needed crashdumps since 17.11 so you have a lot to take reference to

i had about 230 crashes …
