The harder difficulties need to be level locked

No. I’m not… Even one of the best players in the game currently, Jsat, has soloed Legend without skipping combat and even he benefits from Bloodlust. Even he takes hits, and the hits he does take are mitigated by temporary health on kill. Dont be ridiculous. If you go into Legend under level 20, you are hurting your team and their chances of winning. I’ll call you out, because Quick Play Legend is hard enough already.

  1. You’re not required to pick bloodlust. You can pick “health after boss kill”. Do you think it’s OK to start calling out people’s talent choices? If so, then why is level 20 required and not “have picked talent: bloodlust”?

  2. Being a suboptimal level 30 player hurts your chances a lot more than having a level 19 Jsat in your team. Is it OK to start calling out people you think are playing badly?

  1. Sure, you can take the boss health on kill. I’ve never actually see someone do that though. Its almost always Bloodlust, with a handful of Pyromancers and Bounter Hunters taking health on crit.

  2. Being a suboptimal player means being a suboptimal player. I don’t have to worry about having a level 19 Jsat on my team because he is smart enough to level up first, getting talents and power which will assist him in beating Legend in whatever settings he chooses… Other people don’t have that courtesy, and will happy eat all the healing supplies because they think they are too good for Champion.

  1. Health after boss kill can have very minimal impact. We can see that if it is OK it is also OK to not have any level 20 talent. Unless that little impact is the last straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back. I don’t se how that “last straw” cannot be compensated by being optimally geared for example. Ergo the requirement to have “Level 20” seems very arbitrary. Plus you failed to answer my questions: A) whether calling them out was OK and B) Why “level 20” and not “bloodlust or regrowth chosen” as requirement instead.

Being a suboptimal player means being a suboptimal player.

Tautology no one challenged. Why do you bring it up?

I don’t have to worry about having a level 19 Jsat on my team because he is smart enough to level up first, getting talents and power which will assist him in beating Legend in whatever settings he chooses…

… What? Why are you intentionally dodging the question? I set the premise you are left to answer based on that premise. If you don’t want to answer say it. Also you did not answer if it was allowed to call people out based on you thinking they play bad.

Why bother answering if you aren’t actually going to answer?

You know what? Go away. Legend is challenging enough for me that I can’t carry people who don’t come ready for it. I don’t even step into Legend till I’m 30, so no, its not unreasonable to expect the same from others and I am not going to have this conversation with you. If you go in without talents and power from levels, then you are hurting yourself and your team’s chances of winning, and in Quick Play with random people that is not acceptable. Show some respect to your team mates and don’t come unequipped. You can pull that off with your buddies if you like, but not with people who don’t know you or how competent you are. The meaning behind what I am saying is quite clear without your fanciful word games.

Yes it is. People set up all kinds of arbitrary limitations. Some are even kicking level 1 players in recruit. Just because you think your arbitrary limitations are OK, does not mean everyone agrees.

in Quick Play with random people that is not acceptable

In quick play everyone agrees to play with randoms that pass the criteria set by Fatshark. That happens to be hero power. When you click that button you agree to be matched with people who meet that criteria.

But whatever. No point in continuing seeing as you refuse to answer very basic questions on the topic.

Honestly the only one that should have a higher lock is Legend. The extra abilities can impact a Legend match much more consistently compared to Champ, which I’ve seen plenty of level ~10 people do completely fine.

Don’t expect other people to have the same “optimised” thinking as you do. Going into Legend with level 25 (aka 550 Hero Power) is perfectly fine.

I get your idea and I dislike leechers myself. Fact is, you cannot tell who are who. I had people with lower level (25) wreck everything and barely get hit and people with level 30 going down like mayflies and jumping all the time, especially in the ranged shots of their teammates.

This thread just makes me think level should be completely hidden. There’s already power requirements for difficulties anyway, player skill is just so much more important than talents and a level 10 who knows what they’re doing is going to contribute better than the level 30 who can’t survive without bloodlust. This is a multiplayer game and sometimes you’re just going to be paired with bad players, they come in every level.

25 is completely reasonable. By that point they have all their important talents and they are only missing 50 power. I’d even suggest 20 is fine, since by then they have access to some sustainability. I get that my opinion is unpopular, but I am not unreasonable. I just want people to come prepared for Legend.
