Issue Type (Required):
Crash - On Launch
Issue Description (Required):
Recently, I have faced with the issue when the game won’t start after I stopped playing it for about a year. When I click ‘Play’ in Steam, the game doesn’t start, no matter whether I try to run it normally or with Launcher Bypass option. But Steam keeps reporting the game is running because the process is sitting in memory (screenshot below). Searching through the internet for what might cause the issue, I have found 2 topics (1 and 2) with similar problems. But the solution with reinstalling OS was too radical for me. So I’ve spent some time to figure out what is going on. When I’ve ended the ‘vermintide2’ task Easy-Anti Cheat popup informed me about some untrusted file named SQLite3.dll (screenshot attached). I have many sqlite3 libs in my system, but only this one caused trouble for Vermintide2. No other games which leverage EAC complain regarding that DLL whatsoever.
When I deleted that DDL the game run as expected.
Thus, I decided to share this knowledge in case someone might have similar problem.
It would be nice if the game might have some --debug key you can use to trace the error. Because in my case any crash logs were empty.
