The Crafting Memorial; lest we forget

Just a crumb of actual sights that aren’t garbage, as advertised prior to release? As a treat?

haha that could work some guns. But if say Bolter and aim down sight there is a tiny bit of “sway” movement on iron sights, even when standing still so it’s never centre.

There is probably an app for that somewhere that acts as overlay. Or do it the old fashioned way as you said:

At this point…anything, as so far…nothing.

They apparently had a attachment system well in the works before they axed it. They teased it multiple times early in development. I imagine a bunch of great features got removed during the mid-cycle restart/pivot towards their "GaaS’ model.

Maybe they’ll try to sell it back to us in the future…

Yea I remember in COD 4 they sold red dot sight for $1…that didn’t go well

A game that revolves around RNG so much…that even the mission selection itself is RNG what shows up for conditions/modifiers. Might as well RNG what class we get when the mission starts.

darktide was developed over four years.

@brosgw

You know I’m full of ideas. Found and modified, create .bat file. Here now we can add more RNG as to what game loads up between VT2 and DT when you run it.

SET /A FS=%RANDOM%*1000/32768+1
ECHO %FS%
IF %FS% GEQ 500 (
START “” “steam://rungameid/1361210”
) ELSE (
START “” “steam://rungameid/552500”
)

No it wasn’t. Fatshark may have paid their staff to argue about and meet over and consult for and plan for and have conversations about Darktide for four years, but there’s no way this is four years worth of work.

That’s pretty great. Its been years since I did .bat, been doing .ps for that stuff almost exclusively.

Maybe we can throw in an entire steam library as an array :stuck_out_tongue:

definitely seems like it was developed entirely during the beta phase

I played the prepurchase beta. barely anything changed between when it started and when the game “officially” launched. In all honesty the game should still be in beta.

The engine forked off VT2 in 2018 to start work on Darktide maybe.

Nothing changed between beta and launch. This was the same dirty trick that Halo Infinite devs pulled at the launch of that title, too.

Yup. Even though not taken Game Pass player count into consideration…The steam Darktide numbers and based upon time since release follows the same trend as Halo Infinite.

Just because VT2 took 2 years doesn’t mean it should standardised for next and future game. Given 5 copy/paste missions at start fine. But didn’t stick to roadmap of promises. Makes me laugh on Warhammer 3 forums when I see people asking others to wait few years for bugfixes.

I still cant believe this game went down the same road as halo infinite… I hope it also doesnt mirror the aspect of all new content creating a miserably small player count bump when FS finally gets it head out its ass.

We’ll see, but Darktide has a chance that Infinite never really did with the potential console release. Gamepass on Xbox will provide a huge influx of players. If they pair that with a solid content pipeline then they’ll actually do pretty well.

We saw the same thing happen with Chivalry 2, another excellent game that looked like it was dying but received a huge shot in the arm with the Gamepass release. Fatshark fumbled the ball but there’s still a chance for a decent rebound.

The steamDB version of that lets you align to release so we can see the exact rate of falloff from release compared to DT:
