I’m sure this meme will age well if the SM2 weapon system ends up being annoying for some reason.

Love it! Fingers crossed. I can’t see it being heavy RNG or even much weapon customization since you just play through the campaign and that’s it. Then there’s PvP. There is the co-op specific PvE modes but from the trailers seems more like loadouts and deterministic progression more for perks.
Really wish they let us turn weapons into salvage right now before this crafting update.
The doom scroll is getting a bit long in inventory.
As you get new weapons from missions, the new weapons insert themselves in middle of the inventory.
Man disappointed that Stalker 2 has been pushed back to November release.
Space Marine 2 might not be the 1000hr PvE game replacement, short decent experience maybe. But if they make the campaign a great lengthy experience, then that is what it will sell on.
Guess once again stick to buying steam key from a reseller.
don’t be dissapointed when a dev makes good decisions, just sad you cant enjoy sooner is enough
Yeah I will probably just play the campaign, after the game goes on sale, and I don’t know if it will have much to draw me in afterwards. I never played the first space marine game more than once.
here is an awful list I typed up and then sorted to keep track of how many blessings are in the game. I almost barfed. there’s less than 100 actual unique ones (even less if you take out ones that are renamed).
pickaxe - 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40
h shovel = 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40
infantry autogun - 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40
combat blade - 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40
devils claw - 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40
force sword - 9 + 9 + 10 + 11 = 39
revolver - 9 + 9 + 10 + 9 = 37
combat axe - 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 36
headhunter autogun - 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 36

surge staff - 3 + 4 + 4 + 3 = 14
rumbler - 2 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 11
1104 blessings total. 1104 things to hurl into hadron’s garbage can.
I’m missing about 25 atm…what a waste of time attempting to scrap all these in preparation for yonder lock breakage.
I think you have missed a few weapons from your list
I did profess said list to be awful, my eyes were basically square after scrapping around 600 blessings. I noticed dueling swords are gone and that blazing spirit has a T4 on force swords so I was off by at least 21. Are you sure that currently unused blessings aren’t being flagged there? I get like 7 Rumbler blessings which obviously isn’t the case yet.
Pretty confident, based on the ones I still need to learn.
you tell me took 2 weeks vacation + 4 weeks unpaid to prepare my mortal shell for those 2 coming in september.
one game’s good
alas, still chopping tyranids for the emperor
Booted up Darktide since I finished BG3 solo and multiplayer now. Hadn’t played it for awhile. Mods were last updated late 2023.
Game crashes, obviously, with all the mods. But I am not willing to play Darktide unmodded. Things like numeric UI, psych ward, launcher skip, score board, hub hot keys, etc. And no there’s a mod that functionally changes your scope. Iron sights swapped for better mods and I can zoom in better. That and health bars for sure add an edge. Ones console players can’t have. VT2 has numeric UI as a toggable feature. Some of the really common QoL mods FS should add at least as an option, if not on by default.
I can only imagine with the crafting update coming in, how many games won’t launch due to how many people have installed all these QoL mods regarding blessing libraries, extractions, and which blessings they have or not already. How many people will it deter or delay playing when mods seen as essential don’t work.
With 127,297 unique downloads, I wonder if you’re in the minority or not for PC. For those people left playing Darktide. How many people have at least one mod.
Lopus, FS dev who posts on the modding Discord, said a few months ago that they guesstimate one third to one half of PC players mod, although they don’t track exact numbers.
It will be interesting when a big change happens with crafting.
How so?
I don’t mod because I want to hold Grudges about the purely vanilla game, and also because it’s not a handy-dandy application a la fallout modding.
Vortex supports Darktide: Vortex Mod Manager
If the crafting update would pull a lot of people in, because a big hurdle was removed, but a lot of them play modded, and/or are unwilling to play vanilla. I wonder how much of a barrier it will be. Until mods are updated, fix by players, etc. Just curious on impact. A lot of the blessing library mods I assume could crash the game with that whole function removed and the mastery system added. Any other hadron mods might cause an issue.
