It was such logical mechanic to implement that I was literally looking for button in UI to do it as I couldn’t imagine they didn’t implement that… Fatshark always misses the most basic design solutions.
With new FS game planned, for some reason I thought about when the new Diablo game was announced 6 years ago. Fans were onsite at announcement event.
Then the reaction when developers said “Do you guys not have phones?” and “Oh you can play on tablet too”
Well at least they know how to do mobile UI.

“Changing crafting now would drive away the remaining player base” - The remaining player base is mostly (anecdotally) still playing in spite of the crafting, not because of it. If they already have what they want, changes won’t affect them. If they are just ignoring it, changes can only benefit them.
Considering they looked for unreal engine devs I think the possibility it’ll be a mobile game is pretty high
They took the feedback very seriously that all the supplementary systems in Darktide felt like they were for a freemium mobile app and decided to double down. “You know what? They’re right! Let’s get this ported over! The mourning star casino… Coming to a mobile phone near you!”
I wouldn’t say that’s a sure sign it’s a mobile game. I don’t think Fatshark wants to work on the discontinued Autodesk stingray forever, and it’s very possible that they intend to make a pc/console game with Unreal in the future.
Now if it will end up like Payday going from Diesel to Unreal there may be other problems lol.

I think what you’re describing would be more closely aligned with the barnum effect; it wasn’t a ragebait. It only seems that way because you disagree. Let me explain:

I have got stuck at the stop of stairs, fallen through the map, weapons not changing, not dodging, not reloading and crafting is as annoying as ever.
