The crafting is too much like gambling

It’s true that people will often be more active to criticize, but at the same time the amount of discontent shown on reddit, steam, and their forums is pretty obvious.

All things considered, in statistics if you take a large enough sample size you GENERALLY will find a pattern that represents the larger whole.

Even if the true number was 50% instead of 95% that’s a failure for the developer. You don’t want half your paying customers to hate a core game mechanic and have that part drive them away or leave bad reviews, as well as word of mouth to their friends.

Not true. Break points.

Quantum mechanics doesn’t matter on a macro level at all. The vast majority of engineering doesn’t even take it into account.

It’s also fairly obvious that current unified theories, ie string theory, are very, very wrong. They’re likely further away in terms of abstraction between themselves and a better theory than the gap between Newtonian physics and relativity.

The other thing is a theory is a belief and explanation of what’s being observed, it hasn’t been proven to the point that we understand it completely. Once it is understood then the theory becomes a law. Such as the laws of thermodynamics. The scientific process works like this: Hypothesis > Theory > Law.

This of course is wildly off subject and Uranus is clearly scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point.

Sure, and it quite literally makes absolutely no difference one way or the other in the overwhelming vast majority of scientific applications, and the current theories are guaranteed to be incomplete, and are likely very, very wrong.

Look around you. Virtually nothing was engineered using any of this “science”.

Even the fields of quantum mechanics that pose some practical benefit to real life engineering eschew the hifalutin theories in favor of the standard model.

Nothing you mentioned requires any knowledge of quantum mechanics to engineer.

Are you familiar with Godwin’s law? WIth that way you’re grasping at straws, eventually you’ll get there.

Here’s the complete list of crap some rudimentary understanding of quantum mechanics would be of some use.

Quantum dot layers.
Quantum computers.

You may have a quantum dot layer on a TV or monitor.
You don’t have a quantum computer.

So, like I said, this dude has virtually nothing around him right now that was engineered using this field of science.

But are we talking about engineering or repairability of processes?

Complex systems have a high sensitivity to initial conditions.
No matter what you do, you wont ever get the same outcome.
Yes you are right, it will still be a cake, but pretty different, even in size and form.

No, we are talking about the crafting system and you’re way off track.

If you bake a cake using precise measurements of the same ingredients and bake it under the same temperature for the same amount of time in a highly controlled environment it will come out virtually identical every time. The differences will be infinitesimally small.

There are things in every day life, that despite not being engineered using extensive knowledge of quantum mechanics, do exhibit stochastic effects that are due in part to quantum mechanics. The precise lifespans and failure type of many different kinds of electrical components and even batteries are a good example.

Oh, I’m super off topic and I know it. I’m just bored.

The crafting system is bad and needs a lot of love, mmk’ay.

The other dude actually knows what he’s talking about so at least I’m learning something from his posts. You’re just arguing for the sake of it, and worst of all you don’t know what you’re talking about. Your whole understanding of quantaun mechanics is “google it”

I didn’t say “everyone” doesn’t like it, just the vast, grand, overwhelming majority of people that enjoy experimentation with builds and don’t like to waste their time.

No, they just stopped playing and moved on to different games. The people active here actually care and want it to change for the better. The sheer fact that we’re here complaining shows that we care enough to, otherwise we’d be like everybody else and just move on to better pastures.

But we will not do that because Cadia broke before the Guard did!

Nop… Because you missed a thing that was said reapetedly : “on the macro scale”
so yeah science says and it is verifiable that if you aime for the same thing, here a cake, followoing the the same protocol, or cooking recipe, you will get the same result. the molecule might not be in the same place, the electron might not have the same spin but it will have the same weight, volume, flavor etc and will me exactly the same thing on the macro scale. wich is what we are interested in. And that exactly what we have with the crafting … and why ppl says it’s a bad gambling system not a crafting one, bc we don’t have enough controll on the experiment.

And when you say that nothing stop anyone to experiment with different build your also wrong. because of the time variable. I don’t want to have to play for 10h to get enought crafting mat to use in the slot machine in hope to get the blessing I want for the build I’d like to try bc I didn’t have it in my data bank …

I sure do love the experts with their google degree.

Problem here is that crafting options are meh, the blessings are meh, and on top of that there is an annoying rng system. Imagine that, an rng barrier guarding something that is boring af.

Vermintide 2 had rng but people didn’t complain as much, why?
Simple, because what was behind the rng barrier was worth it. Red weapons with a nice unique skin, and maxed stats.

What do we get here from the rng? A weapon that cannot be maxed, and not even an aesthetic change. The system is a joke.

Both the crafting system and the mission rewards are a joke. I don’t even look at the weapons I get at the end of a match, I already know they are crap.

that argument only holds water if you assume that forum goers would value fundamentally opposing things than the “casual playerbase”, wich is highly unlikely
